    8 goals in 16 starts for us on loan in a side that struggled to create chances was a great tally

    He has consistently scored goals throughout his career, so really pleased with our first signing

    Cook already knows what's required and can help others settle in.
    Appears on the surface a right character to have around the training ground and match day dressing room.

    Better than an unknown or a signing we're not sure will fit in. We know how he plays and should know how to play to his strengths and fit him into the team so it seems a good signing.

    Hoping he has a good season because of he does then we will!

    Not sure it is an ‘old injury’, any evidence of this? He has been with us for about 11 months. Could have developed within that time, or be undetectable beforehand. We had Novak, now retired due to injury. It is sometimes difficult to detect injury/health issues, look at Charlie Wyke.

    I’m sure Adams will go into every match looking to win, as the pros say form isn’t a tap that you can just turn on and off so momentum from winning is always a positive. I think what fans mean when they want knocking out of the cup is it’s not the end of the world as the league is the main aim, but it’s always a nice bonus.

    Exactly, Trueman publicly stated he's a lot to learn regarding first team management, so i'm sure player relationship is high on his learning list and hopefully Derek can help him in that department. Cook is an experienced pro and been around the block enough times to appreciate this.

    Very happy with this signing! Hopefully he has taken a bit of a cut from his reported wage at mansfield. Mad really how he was rotated so much last season considering his goal return and performances. I think he'll hit 15-20 next season :)

    Agree mate, the only question that I have is why oh why has it taken so long (Cook been out for what, eight/nine weeks?) to have this done when it could have been sorted weeks ago instead of early December when he (allegedly) is due back in action (ha ha!) late December?
