All three suffered and were damaged by the poor previous managers and confidence which is so important must have been damaged, GB seems to know what he is doing and regards them worth pursuing with another season and he can improve them, The best we can do is back his judgement and back the players as well

people creaming themselves over Colville is a bit embarassing. bigging him up because he's a young kid that found himself on the bench in the worst squad ever created at Valley parade for a couple of games due to lack of adequate cover and everyone thinks he's the next Frank Lampard.
he's rubbish. he won't make it. mark my words.Fordy117 likes this. -

By your logic if a 19 year old doesn't like look like a world beater at league 1/2 level we should get rid? With that short sightedness maybe you are the problem the club will never progress.BoingBoing likes this. -

Your highlighted above has nothing what so ever to do with Man City having far more purchasing power that any other Premiership Club since Sheikh Mansour took over ?.
Since the Robinho shock signing on the transfer deadline day in September 2008, the club have been branded "the richest club in the world" by the media and the Robinho signing heralded a new era of spending for the club with Sheikh Mansour willing to invest in the club off the pitch and on it by signing new players.
Having spent in approximately £320m on transfers from the arrival of Sheikh Mansour in September 2008 to September 2010 it was reported that owner Sheikh Mansour had earmarked £500m for transfers - regardless of any revenue during that two-year period. The report highlighted the club's immense spending power, meaning as of September 2010 there was a surplus transfer budget of around £175m after the transfer window of summer 2010. Since September 2010 up to September 2011, approximately a further £100m has been spent, but with players being sold this is around £80 to 85m in net expenditure.
You quote yourself "The aim of a football team should be to fill you squad with the best players you can afford "maybe the likes or Anderson, Colville and Devine are just squad players and what we have left of the player budget will go on better quality players.marshy77 likes this. -

Nobody, absolutely nobody is “creaming” themselves over Colville and certainly not comparing him to Lampard.

We'd a chance to get some players off the books and get fresh players in.
How many years does Danny Devine need to here to not fully break through and for people to realise he isn't good enough?
Danny Devine is wasting his career at Bradford City. He needs 1st team football but hey he will be on the bench again next season. Another year wasted.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Inspector likes this.
