A tip that made my life better was to not watch the news channels at all. Instantly cuts half the bullshit out of your life.

Not necessarily. There's plenty of us that believe we don't need to be labelled and are happy to look at everything in the world on its own merits.

I also find people like that are often less extreme and can openly debate and discuss things without throwing derogatory terms at people with a differing point of view.

That's not aimed at you either @trevor, I find both sides of the debate as daft as each other, it's just how I feel in general about things these days where everything is always blown out of proportion.

In reality, there's not a great deal that we read or see on the news that terribly affects us so we'd all be much happier if we just concentrated on doing whatever it is that enhances our own lives and worry less about what other people like to do.

Anyway, that's enough serious talk from me, back to moaning about those hand wringing, tree hugging lefties or summat.

Seems like all you do in response to a valid point is brandish petty insults at people.

As I’ve previously stated, it’s very typical of the left to resort to calling folk names whom they know they can’t debate with.

 

It's true. People who live hand to mouth and barely get by are struggling like hell as a small change in their cost of living has a massive impact.

But anybody who could actually afford an annual holiday - which is the majority of people - have actually spent 2/3 years spending less than they normally would and can absorb the additional costs, which is probably what is fueling the inflation to an extent.

The advantage they have other the others is that most people who still actually watch TV these days believe everything they see or read and these outlets are the ones with the biggest numbers. Honestly that.google box that everyone has in their front room was one of the worst things ever invented, it allowed the masses to be controlled without ever realising they were. Easiest way over the last few decades to spread fear and encourage division with divide and conquer tactics.

 

I'm no fan of Piers Morgan whatsoever but I actually heard a recording of that whole interview on the radio. There was one complete c#nt in that interview but it wasn't Piers Morgan

I think this might be the dumbest thing I've ever read on this forum, which is really saying something. Woke doesn't exist and I never hear anyone use the word (including me) when I go about my daily life in you know, the real world

 

I think there's merit in this discussion, probably deserves a thread. As a single parent, I'm definitely feeling the pinch just now. Diesel alone costing me about £300/month. Food is going up, heating and electricity etc. But as Tony says, restaurants are still trading, holidays in full swing. I suppose some holidays were booked and paid for months ago or even a couple of years ago if Covid had an impact.
