I highly doubt they'll have a new manager by Saturday, they've just announced their interim manager today and he was talking about looking ahead to Saturday so I'd expect it will be at least a few weeks before a new manager is announced.

 

Managerially / tactically he was hard work but you can’t argue with his criticism of the club.
Had he come out and shown understanding of the fans concerns rather than criticising them then he most likely would’ve been seen in a better light

 

Well sadly it’s always the fans that keep calling for managers heads prematurely.

 

So what exactly did Uncle Derek say, I believe his parting shot was you'll do well to get someone better (or was that Grayson) and we thought we had in Mark Hughes unfortunately as it turn out he wasn't but apart from tittle tattle I've not seen any comment from him with regards Rupp or Ryan, do you have the link.

 

I’m this instance I don’t think that’s the case, he turned on the fans. Which you just can’t do.

 

There was an interview somewhere, not so long back and after he’d left City where he intimated there were problems within the club in that it was run like a small club.

Grayson also said similar when choosing not to stay on.

 

Both different situations Grayson didn't want the job where as Uncle Derek did and thought he wasn't given time to change things at the club, now you quote the comments I do remember it but he hardly slammed either Rupp or Ryan it was IMO more of a dig because of the way he was treated.

Yes I did read that at the time and think his comments with regards the footballing side carried some credibility not sure he'd have had us in the play offs, but he took the job knowing all the negatives if not owning your own ground of training abilities can be classed as a negative, its been done to death, but some one has to get us promoted out of tihis league under exactly the same circumstances we won't hear much moaning if and when that happens.

 

It’s the unknowns for me - is he talking about renting the ground, or training facilities? There’s some allusion but not clear what he’s talking about - the same can be said about Grayson.
It may be more about support staff, the pitch, lack of academy etc….,

It wouldn't surprise me to find that Grayson left because Rahic wanted to pay him peanuts or take a short contract, and that was the real reason he left. He's made a fortune out of being sacked over the years.

 

I understood if people were delaying it a bit because of paying for Wycombe, Barrow and Harrogate in the same week or so but it’s crazy we haven’t sold out 2,300 for a match half an hour away or an hour max

 

I honestly think at a proper pricing structure it would have sold out ages ago.

 

How many have we sold .

 

So if fans are really well behaved and act like a church choir, does he reduce the match day price.

 

I'm not debating the reasoning behind charging the admission, Accrington can charge what they feel is the correct level. I'm just reasoning that perhaps people are more and more, not willing to be ripped off and especially when there's probably not a lot riding on the game.

 

Yes, it's £20 for those teams that bring 100 fans and don't particularly need stewarding.
