Family friendly prices those aren’t they! To stand in a temporary stand with no cover.

    Indeed

The other thing that bugs me, is I thought the agreement/rule was that a team cannot charge more than the Away team charged them? For the November game at VP, we charged them £20 for adults and £10 for U17's, with a £5 increase for matchday tickets. It seems that Accrington have just gone straight for the highest charge (so £25 and £15) despite knowing full well we will sell out and there won't be any tickets available on the day

Shit-housing scumbags. We'd better go there and smash them now

Their Chairman's off his long run today. Very interesting take on their current financial status. Losing a £1M this season.
Like him a lot to be honest.

Not an option. If I am going to the likes of MK, Sutton & Crawley, I ain't gonna snub Accrington which is less than 50 mins drive away!

The rule has nothing to do with what we charge for home matches against them; it's that a club cannot charge away fans more than home fans for the same sort of accommodation (although there are ways of getting round that).

Accrington Stanley, like us, have a same price everywhere in the ground approach, the only difference being that they have category A and category B prices; this match is a category A match, so for home and away fans its £25 for adults etc. in all parts of the ground and that includes the covered seating that is available to us.

I'm not bothered about this one. I've already been this season and given the facilities on offer and the fact that it's £70 alone for the tickets I'd need then it's an easy miss for me.

In fact, I've just realised that I've not been since the 23rd Jan and only 2 of the last 10 since the Crawley game. One of those two was also the Derby game just to tick off a new ground.

It's certainly been a good few years since I've missed this many in a season, never mind in a short space of time and if I'm honest, I've not missed it a bit.

Teams are free to charge whatever they want as long as they charge home fans the same for the equivalent. They have introduced categories for games and we are classed as a category A game due to the increased costs from police and stewards they say they have which probably isn't far from the truth.

There’s an argument the 2038 fans we take should cover increased costs compared to those needed for 200 Newport fans (for example)

That's what you get with Holt, straight down the line transparency. Not everyone's cup of tea but then not everyone can handle someone giving them full on facts.
Can't help but like the guy.
