Watching the highlights I see Caddis comes running in to confront the Accrington player after the tackle only to realise when he got there how big a unit he was, then he calmed down quickly.

 

You are right, definitely not out of the woods yet as we are only 5 points away from bottom but equally, we are also only 5 points away from 13th. We can do this!!!

 

The lad Zanzala failed to rise to the occasion in front of a big crowd that played its part in the loss of his composure. Just shows how fans can contribute to the game's outcome.

I don’t think much of what he says is wrong bar the yellow cards.

 

It's a shame were out of all the cups. I'd quite fancy us to go on a bit of a run based on current form.

After the first 20 mins we were well on top. A three goal win was a fair reflection of the game

I don’t think it was 3-0 game for me, i give credit to Accrington for playing some decent football when down to 10. We weren’t anywhere near as fluent as we have been lately, and i think Hopkin will be looking to strengthen straight away when you look at how light the bench is.

I agree on the points about fluency and bench strength. I think the fluency was driven partly by a lack of energy - 3rd game in 6 days - and the loss of the O’Briens. O’Connor and Wood acquitted themselves well, but neither were in their natural position and as you’d expect, it robbed us a little of what’s made us so good over the last month

 

I think that's what really matters sometimes though, still pulling through with the result even when the squad is a little off the boil. I think we were totally that today, off the boil (still playing well but not as rip roaringly well as some games of late).

No team is on fire all the time but if you can get the points even without, then you can go places.

 

I thought Accrington’s play was awful yesterday. They clearly were sent out to stop us by whatever means. The only time they played football was deep into the second half when we had tired. Yes we weren’t as fluent as we had been but I think that was due to having to make changes and players out of position, but we were still far too good for Accrington.

It was one of those games where we could have easily succumbed to a defeat. I was so pleased at our refusal to be beaten, now that is a true Bantam team. DH is responsible for this massive turnaround ‘no prisoners’ yes we are thin on the ground, yes our team is reliant on loan players, yeswe have injuries, but we will continue to play our all attacking football, and our increasingly rock solid defence.

 

A couple of interesting points from last night. Jones is fit again and wasn’t considered. And despite a depleted midfield with a further injury on the night Wood a full back was sent on instead of Devine..
Both of these could be going out possibly on loan

 

Jones liked a tweet about a move to a new club, not sure if it’s been mentioned and could be meaningless of course.
