    Like I say, if Sheff Utd get their TV money then they should pay us the add ons owed for staying up.
    If Sky don’t pay them based on the season being ‘cancelled’ ‘incomplete’ then fair enough, we get nothing unless they stay up the season after, which they will.
    Also, if stats are expunged then nobody can ever bleat on about us selling the leagues top scorer ever again.

    Although yes technically you could class us as insolvent the reality is we are no different to the vast majority of EFL clubs and a fair few non-league clubs and possibly even some premier league clubs who would go bust overnight if their owner pulled the plug and stopped covering the losses.

    How much would the potential McB monies bring in? and do you think this would this be reimbursed to Rupp or invested back in to the club? I suppose time will tell....

    wouldn’t a directors loan have to show in the abbreviated accounts somewhere?

    @Dennis@Dennis has said there is nothing showing in the German equivalent of companies house either, so that rules out the funds coming via there unless it has been put in this financial year?

    Indeed. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that a friend of mine who is a sports lawyer had already been asked by two of his clients, both PL clubs, to advise them on what the options were for their clubs. I suspect many other clubs will have done something similar. It's all heading towards an enormous bun fight unless the governing bodies can reach some kind of amicable arrangement with everybody involved. There's just too much money at stake especially for the bigger clubs to just sit back and wait for events to unfold.

    Obviously no one has a definitive answer but if it went to court I'd back us to recieve the payment if they start the next season in the top flight.

    I wouldn't because if void the season didn't happen. So when the next season happens then IF sheff utd stay up then they would have to pay out but it wouldn't be certain that whey would.

    Can't have it best of both worlds.
