This is vital.

Most of us can see Rupp and Sparks aren't good enough, but Mark Hughes should be.

Even if we can't support the clubs ownership and leadership, we must support Hughes.

 

As somebody said on another post, what a grounded and realistic interview from Hughes, gives me hope.
What a pile of sh.. he has been left by Adams.
We need to remember this and that MH hands are largely tied

 

Anyone who thought Canavan leaving didn't matter because he was bang average, take a look at the defence were left with.

The worst defence in Bradford City history.

 

Unfortunately the defence is just evidence of years of under investment, constant switch in philosophies and year upon year decline.

 

As someone said earlier, We can’t replace everyone in this team, But the majority do need to Go

Players that are capable of being in a promotion challenging first 18
Hendrie; Watt, Sutton, Vernam, Cook, Foulds

the key term being first 18, The level those players are at is the minimum level of quality that we would need in order to succeed at this level.

As Good as Ridehalgh was earlier on this season, he’s getting old. A player who’s 30+ an has a injury record isn’t worth keeping. Foulds is good enough to be a deputy for the position but not first 11 just yet.

Hendrie id say is good enough for this level. with a decent defensive partner, paudie can look decent at this level as well

Gillead, not good enough, isn’t a good enough option off the bench

Robinson, Lavery. 5 goals between the pair of em is abysmal. Robinson is sunday league an Lavery is injury prone. Both need releasing

Kelleher. Don’t even get me started

O’Donnell. Time is up. isn’t good enough. Same for Evans

Hornby. Wouldn’t mind him as No.1 for next season but we could do better and should

Angol. Is a good player on his day but is made of glass. Move on.

Hopefully this year was just a blip for Eisa an he comes back full force next year. Still believe there is a player in there

Songo & Threlkeld. Hope Adams takes em when Morecambe inevitably get relegated by the end of the season

As for the loans. Only one even worth considering is Walker who imo is a league above. Don’t see him staying with us beyond his loan spell but you never know

Bass has had his moments, but is too shaky, especially at home. Doesn’t exactly inspire a makeshift defence with confidence

Daly. Has had adequate time but has failed to make an impact. Elliot finally gets a chance an gets injured. Says enough there. Delfonseo looks past it. Perriera is probably still at Luton for all we know

all in all; You’re looking at a good 10-12 signings there at least to get this club anywhere near the promotion race for next season

 

I'm more worried about the other end of the pitch to be honest. Once again we looked toothless up front with an overweight striker in Cook who isn't good enough for Halifax and his strike partner Robinson who isn't good enough for Avenue.

Not replacing Canavan was the bad business. Let's be honest he had been poor for a while.

I see he was sent off last night for pulling back a 37 year old striker who had outpaced him.

 

Foulds today put in a non league level performance.

Hughes without backing will go the same way as Grayson/Hopkin/McCall/Bowyer and Adams and they are all experienced coaches.

 

That's where it becomes hand in pocket time for Rupp.

There's no point promising investment then not delivering just because people didn't buy into the idea in the first place.

Nobody believes what comes out of the club these days, it's up to the club to win trust and season ticket sales, not the other way round.

 

If we do end up going down, it will be the result of a lot of terrible decisions from a lot of different people. But, there will be a direct line to Adams’ falling out with Canavan, shipping him out and deciding not to bring anyone in to replace him.

We’re currently one rash Paudie lunge away from a Kelleher/Songo’o defensive partnership.

 

Sparky will have contacts in the game that Adams could only (wet) dream about.

Paudie is the epitome of the Lg 2 centre half- brave, full of blood and guts endeavour but has poor decision making and positional sense. If we want to rise higher, we must sign better. Brutal but true. We can't continue to say various of our players are ok or pretty good. Often on here, peeps say so and so isn't brilliant but we should keep them as a squad players. No - stop it! We need quality to get us out of this dreadful division and then get us out of Lg 1 asap.

Songo and Foulds were appalling letting Canavan go may seriously cost us.
