I clapped after the game the other day because they all (most) put a real shift in.

At the end of the day, even when we play well we still have square pegs in round holes all over the park.

 

Whilst on the face of it Rupp appears to be willing put money in ( source: Rhodes ) you make a good point about not investing further when your in a 10x times better situation ? What he has invested was done so with little knowledge about football and that shows. He was naive at best for trusting Rahic judgement ?. So having lost money and the club spiralling downwards why is this guy with zero interest in football going to throw more at it ? Ok he wants to try and get some of his investment back ? So his only option maybe to fire more at it to avoid a complete write off ?.

Rupp must regret ever getting involved he has to ? His life and interests do not centre around Bradford and to all intents and purposes he's handed control of club affairs back to Rhodes !.

To me what we needed was for Life President Jack Tordoff (with his own man in) along with ground owner Gordon Gibb and James Mason as custodians in the "interests of the club and people) to take Rupp out of the equation and stabilise the Club for a future generation. I know it's easy for me to say this but what's it worth really ? No ground asset, no playing assets..a shrinking supporter base ? All there is really is "good will" and there's precious little of that pervading around VP right now. He's a business man a successful one too by all accounts ? But he's no real interest in football. Somewhere along the line something's not going to add up for him anymore !

 

So they put in effort, which the bare minimum. This team do not deserve to be clapped off this season. It goes back to my empathy comment that upset people a few weeks ago but I stand by it. As a fan base we are very very soft. The abandonment of the flyover tells you all you need to know.

 

They were clapped of on Saturday because people could see that they deserved.more than what they got and in my opinion it was an entertaining game. We are short of the right players in certain positions that is stopping us turning these narrow defeat into wins .As I said the other day if we had Marquis and Wilks the former we could have had in the summer we would probably be where Donny are now because those two apart they were no better than us

 

I think you could find that Rupp may have backed us, Rahic was the man who decided what players we needed.

 

They didn’t deserve it at all. It was two poor sides on Saturday and yet the Donny who are on an awful run away from home left with the 3 points. We are a bit ore solid but in no way are our performances deserving of beating teams. Not by a long way. 1-1 may have been fair but there is not a chance we deserved to win that game. Perhaps some of you have become numb to it if you think Saturday was entertaining. I certainly wouldn’t waste my time clapping off a team full of lads getting 2-4k a week because they put some effort in.

 

But you was there to support the team .

 

If a Bradford City team puts a shift in then I will clap them off no matter what.

This season there are plenty of occasions where they haven’t done this, and as such I haven’t stayed to applaud. I don’t care if we weren’t good enough to win on Saturday, that wasn’t through a lack of trying.

If you only want to back the players when they win then go support Man City.

 

Even if I was paid more than those gutless mugs then I wouldn’t have clapped them off at the weekend for doing the bare minimum. Does anyone clap you out of work for just doing your job at the most basic level? The fact that these players are paid very good wages and just haven’t bothered all season means that they don’t deserve for me to recognise the fact they tried a bit harder this week.

It has nothing to do with supporting a team only when they win. What a stupid comment.

Its funny you question my attitude. Someone who goes home and away with the hope that this set of players might pull their finger out. If you want to question anyone’s attitude then its the 11 that turn out week in week out for us this season. Again.. far too much empathy and far too soft.

 

Apathy? Tell me what good does it do booing a team when the effort has been there and deserved more. The only people it helps is you and your anger management
