I might be remembering incorrectly but wasn't it the first season after relegation from the premier League?

Remember Richmond started with 5and half year ticket when we opened the Midland Road , that worked well , so when the 25 year one came about thought it was a good deal ,wasn't going to change clubs , so God willing would still be going when it ran out.
Like the rest didn't realise it was his last roll of the dice before we went pop , got a loan also so don't feel bad about taking the discount, still well out of pocket overall

The brochure shows that monthly payments were by standing order to 'Bradford City AFC (1903) Ltd No2 Account'.

In the Q&A section, this question and answer may be of interest:
Q What happens if I default on payments in plans 2 or 3?
A The Club will not take enforcement action, though no future season tickets will be issued. If a default occurs, there will be no liability on the purchaser, but no refunds will be made and Game Plan 25 benefits for future seasons will be null and void.

Plan 2 was 5 staged payments of £500 (total £2,500) and plan 3 was spread over 5 years (total £3,000).

I purchased my 25 year season ticket on 24 February 2001.

Thanks. I still can't find any reference whatsoever in the accounts for either 20/21 or 21/22 to the 25 year deal. Given its importance as an important part of securing the club's financial situation, I'm surprised by this.

It looks clear to me now. For those fans who paid by either of the two instalment methods, there was no financial intermediary involved in providing a financing option directly to the fan. It was done directly between the club and the fans. Whether the club itself borrowed money against the fans' instalments would have been a matter for the club and the lender. And I suspect that's what happened. The club did something similar with the outstanding payments due from the PL after our time there.

The arrangement would of course have lapsed in 2004 when Admin 2 was concluded and when Bradford City AFC (1983) Ltd ceased to exist (I assume the reference to 1903 was a typo).

The assets of Bradford City AFC (1983) Ltd were then of course purchased by JR when he established his own 'Bradford City' company but not the liabilities. The outstanding liabilities, mainly secured and unsecured creditors, were all settled via the CVA which was a pre-requisite for Admin 2 to be concluded. Why the 25 Year arrangements weren't part of agreeing the CVA or even referenced in the Administrator's reports defeats me. JR would have been under no obligation to honour the remainder of the 25 year deal but as we know he subsequently agreed a new deal for the 25 year's which was a good thing to do and a bonus for you all!

15ish years of people dishonestly getting discounted seats shouldn't be brushed under the carpet.

Nothing dishonest about it, only in your mind, the club folded those who were cute enough to buy with a CC got part of their outlay back, unfortunatly those who paid by other means didn't.
During the second admin we became a little bit of an embarrassment to the club as part of the dealt for Carbone & Ward to waver part of their contracts was to class the 25 yearers as creditors, hence my embarrassment comment.
Do they hang 900+ fans out to dry who in most cases have taken out loans, or to help compensate the 25 yearers they are offered a deal which was accepted no strings attached with regards the club.
So just where does your dishonesty comment kick in, for accepting an offer by the club, why would they worry how many got a refund through their CC the club had already got their brass unlike those who paid by the instalment method.
Even then many who took the offer of a free season ticket but hsd to pay for a suite upgrade paid a few pounds less than everyone else once Julian brought the cheap tickets deal in 2077.
Let it go Hoochy jealously is a terrible thing.

Like most things at City, we all tend to dwell on the past. Yes our history is important but not who paid what and how.
Nothing to see here , move on.
PS i am not a 25 yearer , did have the 5 year one , which was great value.

It’ll need a big van to impound enough buckets and turtle wax to cover it.

I'm not a jealous person, not in my nature.

Of course it's dishonest. People have been refunded for their outlay and are still reaping the rewards. Some people's moral compass isn't quite so squeaky clean.

Instead of accusing others of jealousy perhaps a look in the mirror might reveal a big old guilty conscience.

The club got the fans money then went into administration so Bradford City had got the fans money, and could not provide the service fans had paid and signed up for, they were the defaulting party not the fans.
The 25 yearers then went trough 2 administrations not knowing what would happen with regards their contracted deal with the club, Juian made an offer many took up, nothing dishonest about it, morally or otherwise, those who paid by CC did nothing wrong, I'm in the process of taking my CC company through a Section 75 trying to get my deposit back from a hotel we had booked for our 50th Wedding Anniversary with, exactly the same as I paid my £300 deposit by CC which is covered under Section 75, we didn't get the weekend away we paid for as the hotel had ceased trading and gone into voluntary liquidation appointing recievers.
Why would anyone need to look into a mirror because you accuse them of dishonesty your wrong admitd it, and stop these divisive comments.

I don’t begrudge the 25 year st holders getting their discount and I am sure they put money into the club in other ways.
What I didn’t like was some good businesses creditors got a penny in the pound back at admin at the same time

Yes as creditors they would have recieved very little if anything, it was said at the time the club even owed the ST John Ambulace Brigade, although I thought they were a voluntary group ?.

You got your money back but still get the deal. Not very fair is it?

Using your own example, if you get your money back for the hotel would you then expect to get a stay in the room too? Of course you wouldn't.

I got zilch back. Paid upfront from savings. You begrudge me losing £2,000 and then getting a £30 discount ?
