“The cost to park in the Army Barracks behind the Belle Vue pub is £245 for all league games” is the reply I got. I think it works out at £10.65 per league match @ 23 games. Ouch.

 

plus it isn’t exact close. Is the Midland Road, unofficial car park still running?
Alternatively park in Broadway and get a taxi/Uber there and back right to the entrance

 

Might not be any use to you but when my old man started to struggle with his mobility we started parking at the petrol station at the top of Valley parade..Very limited number of spaces and had to be there early.Probably no good to you as still quite steep up the hill after the match.

 

Does he have a blue badge? If not, should he have one?

 

Thanks for the replies. I will email them and see what comes back. I think last time I enquired a couple of years ago somebody came back and mentioned some spaces available behind kop, about £300 which he is willing to pay if necessary. Not sure whether that is still an option

No we have enquired, he is not classed as disabled and apart from his walking he is in very good health, so doesn't qualify

 

The petrol station has had a complete re-model, not sure if there will be any space in there for parking any more. I think it has a costa coffee in it now as well.

 

They have demolished the petrol station, not sure what they are now building there

 

Having a severe permanent walking disability is one of the things that qualifies you for a badge. You don't have to have any other disability. Worth a try in my view, obviously you know your father's capabilities.

 

still a petrol station , just completely re built , shell i think , with mini market and the costa i believe. They will make a right killing on match days.

Our lad got a telephone call from Michael Shackleton asking him if he will be renewing his car parking space behind the Kop and I believe he paid £300+ the season before last.

I am not sure where you are from Rogered Tart but comments like that actually serve no purpose. I am not sure who is behind the re- development of the petrol station but i am sure they will be completely dismayed at investing their money in such a terrible place. Yes Bradford has its problems, just like many other places in the uk.

 

I'm from Bradford born and bred, family from White Abbey and Listerhills. I think i'm qualified to know what a shithole looks like.
