    Good post Rod.

In the alternative history ;) I read somewhere that in the early 1920’s City interviewed the great Herbert Chapman for the managers job and turned him down  he then went to Huddersfield and won the division one championship 3 times in row and our club went on our travels in the lower reaches;)History could have been so different if any truth to this story and we took him on.

I was actually in the old Hen Shed Paddock for the match, but closer to the Bradford End. An amazing day out.

No is the short answer. I remember Johnny Hall playing a blinder, and he was on the right wing if I am correct. @Bronco@Bronco and @Kevin1954@Kevin1954 @Park bantam@Park bantam plus a lot more on here will have been at the game. If no one remembers, l will have a look and see if l can locate the programme.

Working from memory (hazy!) I would say no he didn’t Rod. My prog is buried in the loft somewhere, but even that if found can be treated with extreme caution.

If you watch the Bradford City History video below and go to 18'10" there are clips of the two City goals v Tottenham in 1970. Peter Middleton is briefly visible in both clips.

I seem to remember Johnny Hall having one headed off the line at the Bradford End by Cyril Knowles?

Indeed it was a thunder bolt from Hall that was heading to far left of the cross bar when Knowles unbelievably headed it wide, unbelievable Geoff

Cracking game that in front of the cameras.a great comeback and we were a bit unlucky not to win it at the end when John Hall had a cracking shot headed of the line.
Great atmosphere and whilst it was a disappointment we lost it was good to see Jimmy Greaves in the flesh

Big Bobby said George Mulhall had said to the team Kenny Dalglish was out injures so we had a chance, George was bang on the money, we took a 1 - 0 lead to Anfield unfortunately for the second tie Dalglish was back and completely run the show that night Liverpool running out easy winners, but traveling Bradford City fans than night out sang the Kop.

The throw in was not illegal. This is from the laws of football:
    • have part of each foot on the touchline or on the ground outside the touchline

Not with you with regards "Seem to have skipped a decade there Dave", Our cars were fine not quite sure about our own personal safety as the police offered none after the game.
My first time of visiting Anfield and to be honest the premier games weren't a problem we went on the bus.

No originally a thread started about Peter Middleton, but you know how it works on here, @Stafford Bantam@Stafford Bantam put the video on saying "If you watch the Bradford City History video below and go to 18'10" there are clips of the two City goals v Tottenham in 1970. Peter Middleton is briefly visible in both clips. of course when I watched it I saw the Bobby Campbell comment with regards Dalglish I remember remember saying after the second leg Dalglish was the difference on both nights.
