    Yes, the rolling 10-match line at that point had us at 1-1-8... We really did need to make a major change, and, sorry to say it, Stuart did seem to be a big part of the problem. He was also the easiest change to make. As you say, now we can look forward to matches again. The past four matches have shown that there is enough in the side as it is to remove fears of relegation, but they now have to keep to, at worst, the standards they've now set. It will be interesting to see how we do against Port Vale, as that is a match we should be regarding as winnable.

    I see that there is a typo in the T&S record line in my post above; their away points should read 7, not 4.

    We were heading for disaster in the 2nd batch of 10 games under McCall, just 1 point in the first 6 games of that batch. Fortunately after the decision to sack him which followed the incredible decision to extend his contract, Trueman and Sellars picked up 10 points in 4 games to give us a respectable 11 points.

    Very true, but form is form and we can absolutely discount those first 16 games and the percentage points gained from what we are getting at 2.34 a game on our T&S our form. We are bound to have a dip at some point so 83 is probably unrealistic, but I don't see any reason at all why we cant' get the 23 to 26 we would need to finish in the top seven and meet your prediction head on.

    To me the biggest potential stat on the horizon is that if we win the next two T&S will have picked up TRIPLE the points from 16 games that Stuart did.

    It sems that only once in that time have the Play-off winners already been in a PO position at this stage of the season. :unsure::)
