I agree, I only tuned in because I thought it was going to be a panel show with the guests live in the studio and was disappointed when it wasn't. That said, the interview with the Scottish journo was interesting and it was a decent exclusive interview with Hopkin.

 

Pretty poor form that from Radio Leeds. Doesn't give me much encouragement to tune into them in the future.

With regards to the Scottish journalist, it certainly was an interesting insight into how Hopkin has performed at Livingston wasn't it. He clearly held David in high regard and had some pretty pleasing words to say about him along with the stats to back it up. I'm excited to see what Hopkin brings to us, providing *he* doesn't interfere for pete's sake.

All I have heard for weeks is that ER should openly admit he made a mistake appointing MC-so he did!!

But that's now not enough.

DH said he would be soley responsible for team affairs. Nigel said he doesn't believe that. So DH is a liar now?

Nigel won't go to VP again until ER leaves. No one really cares.

Edin Rahic did not say that him and Stefan Rupp made a mistake. The whole point of this debacle is that Rahic did not admit that they made a mistake.

They merely admitted that it was them who made the decision to hire Collins, and said the reasons why, because they thought they had it in them to take the club to the next step. Then, "they realised the performances were not good enough in the last 2 matches". There is no humility or admitting that they messed up, which is what is p*ssing a lot of City fans off. This continued arrogance and egotistical nature is causing an even bigger divide, he has had a great opportunity today to help relations between himself and City supporters on a personal level and he failed. It summarised the type of person he is and it's somebody I don't believe we will ever endear ourselves to.

 

So if he is just one of 5000, you are not bothered.

 

What are you on about now? He’s come into the club, made a series of ridiculous decisions that have culminated in the last month which have laid bare the shortcomings of him as an owner of a football club. He’s appointed someone else who is reasonable and he’s “put that right”. You couldn’t make it up.

 

Yes 3/4 wins will have us feeling much better, not sure it will be fine, but yes I have far more faith in Hopkin that I ever had in Collins and his coaching staff.
Yes many of us were saying that very thing he's made a big mistake, but and you and others were telling us to give him time, it was a shocking position to put Collins in, I would hope he did take Collins on one side and personally offer his apologies that's the very least he could do.
I'm sure you'll disagree but the only reason "he put it right" was fan pressure and maybe Stefan getting involved, seeing how Edin has performed since he came I'd suggest he's not one for saying he got it wrong when many fans were calling it after the Macclesfield and then the Southend game, but yes he's put it right.

The implication here being that he chose not to respond/talk and they played a recorded interview instead. I just wanted to clarify that that was what you meant.

Bronco strikes me as someone that was quite close to the previous regime and now that he's not allowed to get close again is throwing his toys out the pram at every occasion because he doesn't like it.

Someone in here has wrote about being "pro-edin". Most people are nothing but pro Bradford city. Don't really care who the owners are, only about results on the pitch. Yes they've made mistakes but they've also tried to correct a lot of them.

The way people go on comparing them to the Oystons etc. is ridiculous. They've invested in the playing squad and lots more behind the scenes. Got a hell of a long way to go before we get anywhere near the Charltons and Blackpools.

It's not half as bad as some of you make out. Yes we've had a bad start to the season but you'd think we'd lost every game and got a goal difference of -20.

I would love to know the correlation between people who are staunch edin out and who out of that voted brexit because I bet there is a massive overlap.

 

Thought the guy Nigel spoke a lot of sense, we all know who the problem is at our club some just wont admit it, surely Stefan has to get more involved now I don't see him changing.

 

It was quite a confusing one @Botswana Bantam. My understanding was that Edin was in the studio and he would be speaking live to the host, as per the implication of the host. However, he did not speak live and a recording was played, which led me to believe that he wasn't speaking following the caller's (Nigel) comments. Now @Fuzzy has suggested that Edin was never there and the recording was planned all along. If this makes sense?

 

Wow, so we've gone from 6 bad games getting one manager the sack to poor performances in 2 matches!

Hopkin better watch out, he'll be sacked by HT at this rate!!!
