We are an embarrassment to football.

My company was supposed to be sponsoring the Portsmouth game, but I’ve told them that I am pulling out and not giving the club another penny under this regeime - I suggest all other sponsors do the same. Until this clown leaves our club there is only one way we are going and it’s not up.

All the good work carried out by the previous regime has been undone in just over 2 years by one stubborn Dictator.

I'm sure you know with having close contact to our club as a sponsor word about our owners mainly Edin have been circulating for a while now, and if true do not paint him in a favorable light.

My theory is that no one would try to start an unfounded rumour whilst attributing it to such a ridiculous chain of communication.

MC is not going to walk away, because this is his first job as manager and he doesn't want to lose face. Abbot is not going to walk away, because he is also cut from the same cloth as Edin - he's been in the game for years, is well connected and respected among the football community, and he knows football. IF anything, he thinks he's the man for the head coach job, as he's the one doing the team talks and he's the one who has chosen these players and put the team together. As the experienced one among the three, he's the one MC relies on and seeks advice. MC doesn't want him to leave.

So it's a stand off. The only way for this to change, is if Rupp grows some balls and removes Edin. When Edin has gone, then that maybe leaves the club open to change, which in turn might make us more attractive to potential job applicants. If a experienced manager applies, then that gives Rupp the opportunity to replace MC. If the new manager comes in, then that would probably mean he'll bring his own assistant manager, which means Abbot and Drury are surplus to requirements. New manager has a look at the players he's got to work with, sets tactics and gameplan accordingly. Players start to feel more confident, and maybe that confidence turns defeats into victories.

Terrible Terrible mess. Reading what I wrote back, the real chill going down my spine, is that if Edin remains "in charge", then nothing is going to change, and we're headed in one direction. And once we're in league two with a reduced fanbase, reduced income and everything else that comes with it, maybe Rupp decides he's longer prepared to chuck anymore money into the club, and sells up, or worse just rights us off as a bad investment. Then we're in an even bigger hole, trying to find new investment when we're in the bottom tier of the football league with very little prospects.

Easy to blame MC - and he's not helping himself with his pre and post match comments, coupled with weird tactics, but the real buck stops at the boardroom door. The moneyman not taking control of the situation, and the active boardmember being stubborn as hell despite cracks appearing in every direction.

And I haven't even touched upon the players not giving their all on the pitch, even though on paper they should be pretty decent.

That he can just do absolutely nothing, watch City slide into oblivion and not lose a single wink of sleep over it. Him investing in City is quite probably akin to most of us doing the national lottery; brilliant if we win a few quid but changes nothing if we don't.

I bet he only invested in City to shut Edin up and get him as far away from Germany as possible, so he could go about his motor racing in peace. The many millions he's sunk into it only proves what a massive PITA Edin actually is.

Now there was a rebuttal by Rahic saying he offered the job to nobody, and rumours that the search was back at square one were false - pretty soon after, he appointed someone who didn't apply for the job. Make of that what you will.

The above seven names are cited as - but obviously this cannot be proven - either rejecting the managerial vacancy or dropping out of contention. Remember, you don't have to be literally offered a job to reject it. There are obviously plenty of jobs I wouldn't take for a wide range of reasons, so the likelihood is, the truth is somewhere to be read 'between the lines'.

EDIT: To add to McCann, another 'rumour' was Darren Ferguson.
