Didn’t Hull City fans protest about a name change? They’re not called Hull Tigers are they?

Similarly, didn’t Cardiff fans complain when Tan changed their colours to red, seen as they were known as the Bkuebirds. I notice they are back to playing in their traditional blue home kits.

Finally, didn’t Liverpool fans protest, by walking out at a pre-determined minute on the clock, over ticket prices. Sure their owners reversed their decision.

Maybe a mass walk out in the 32nd minute to represent the age of the scapegoat?

I don’t particularly want to stop going to games just to get at R and R,but what about at the next home game just boycotting the kick off ? Maybe thousands of empty seats and no kick off atmosphere might hit home to them.

Blackpool fans have been protesting against their owners for years to no effect. Coventry fans had a not one penny more campaign for years and SISU are still there and still fighting over the stadium. The majority of City fans who attend have season tickets so he already has your cash, he’s taken a hit on shirt sales I’m certain because they’re dreadful this season. Three more months with this squad and coach will have us in League 2 next season. If he loses interest next season we could be out of the league all together by May 2020.

Some on here will try to tell you the walk out was pointless because Brighton haven't progressed since then, just like we won't.

Despite my newly-found, complete lack of faith in the head coach and ownership, I do think it's too early for any form of protest. I do think most clubs who have opted to stage any kind of protest have gone through worse. However, I'm not sure at what stage it becomes a reasonable response from the fans.

The thing is all the marches, walkouts and many other forms of protest is only a small part, having a local lad turn up and stuff 250 million plus into the club helped a bit ;)

I never said that I said they were up for sale, both fans want their owners to leave and they've made enough protestations for the owners to put the club up for sale. There's nothing else fans can do. Unfortunately they are pricing themselves out of a sale. Ours could do the same especially seeing as they have zero assets to sell. Nobody in their right mind would pay let's say 10 million for our club unless they were going to buy back the ground and be determined to get us out of this division as they won't make their money back.

You never know what's round the corner.

But, honestly, and I can't speak for Brighton fans, but just having a reasonable owner and sensible business model would make me happy :)

Seems as though there is ‘somebody’! http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/16342878.bradford-city-gibb-takeover-talk-dismissed/ However they will need a partner with deep pockets (comparable to Rupp), who is perhaps in a position to actually see it through and run the club for 10+ years. They could create the asset for the future by reuniting Club and Ground Ownership.

We didn't have much choice when the new chairman took over, the ground was sold and we were playing 75 miles away in gillingham, although we returned to a temporary home we were still losing money 1 million a season and then Tony Bloom turned up and built us a fantastic stadium and then we were losing 25 million a season.Premiere football was the only place to potentially not lose money. This is the modern day football model and it stinks.

Still is the only place to not lose money, to be fair.

Every other division just drains money.

In one sense, I have some admiration for the likes of Hoyle, Bloom, Gibson and others who have been willing to put their own money into their clubs to give them the chance of some time in the PL. And of course for those owners to then share in the riches of the PL. It's great for the clubs involved, it's great for their fans but not so great for those clubs who don't subscribe to that model or worse, try and emulate it but fail.

More worryingly, it's also not very good for football in the long term when success in football can be bought in that way .. and then that success can be traded with venture capital funds, dodgy owners etc. Yes, it stinks. And unfortunately I don't see it changing much while the FA and the EPL sit on their hands doing nothing to change things.

Unfortunately not all the clubs gambling to join the exclusive club will gain entry and in the process some will run up huge debts trying .:worried:
