Sack Collins now before it's too late. Sack him!

We are judging managers/coaches on whether they wear a tracksuit or suit now are we?

 

It’s an interestingly question Bronco. In theory you’d go for Pelligrini, but he’s only had to contend with 9 new players, not 15.

Time will tell if Collins gets it right, but Pelligrini will be given time and perhaps Collins should as well.

 

Why would he do that ? They weren't even friends before they took over. Surely at some point (if Edin is as bad as made out) then Rupp is going to feck him off and install a real CEO ?

Great post. However, I am not sure they know what the problems are tbh. That worry’s me more, trying to sort out why a team of this quality cannot perform within the 90 minutes is extremely worrying. I am thinking Collins out of his depth and trying to pull in advice from every man and his dog, ends up in mixed message and communications from the management team. The players will know this and will also be losing confidence and confusion reigns.

 

No. But things like body language, attitude, dress etc. play a part. One looks like a man. The other like someone who failed the East 17 audition.

 

Whilst I agree with that Dennis, as you say we do have a good squad of players who I think another more experienced coach would get more out of regardless of the mess upstairs.

 

In my view we don’t have the time to give him. This investment in the team is for promotion this year despite what is being said, and therefore we cannot wait and give other teams a head start. If we do not get performances and results in the next two games then we have to consider our options for a new manager. This maybe the only time I will say this but I agree with @Fordy117 if we don’t we may well be in a relegation battle, and it is difficult to turn things around if we start sinking.

 

Well let’s hope the major shareholder is thinking along the same lines, but we have basically lost three managers due to the minority shareholder. We now have a coach who has never managed a first team squad, and very little successful coaching under 18’s, because the minority shareholder fancies being a football manager. Meanwhile between them they have £6 mill invested in this club, which will disappear at an alarming rate if we sink further down the league. Stuart must be wondering what he wouldn’t have given for a squad like this.

 

That situation will only happen if results improve, we all know it's a results based business and that includes Collins, lets hope he starts with 3 points on Tuesday night, 4 at the back and two up top for a start.

When we are in difficulties, every thing is picked over. BTW the photo is embarrassing imo.

 

According to Rahic, he was helping him choose players from the word go, so although in theory he wasn’t head coach he was part of the recruitment. That was one of the main reason Edin chose him for the post was my understanding.

 

Collins and Drury are probably very capable at creating interesting passing drills, working on movement, keeping players engaged in training etc which is junior football level but actually creating a solid unit, drilling roles into players defensively and attacking it seems they are not. To say the game was lost before half time when it was 0-0 is just crazy. Clearly the team was set up completely wrong and he is basically saying I didn’t have a clue how to change it and in fact it got worse. To have Abbott there isn’t much help as he was near useless at Carlisle at the end of his tenure. I hope I’m proven wrong and they really sort this mess out.

So rather than sack them, and as they are probably on peanuts anyway, why not “re-assign” them all and bring a real manager in.

The first thing Grayson did was insist on the players wearing suits to the ground, and results INSTANTLY improved.

If I remember right, we won ten on the bounce.

 

Rahic is already poor at maintaining morale, don't be giving him wacky ideas.
