It’s a long shot even if we win our last two games. I am with GA in this let’s see if we
can beat Barrow first then we can look at the jigsaw of the last day. Great end to the season.

 

It's a very, very long shot imo. I just can't see us getting 3 points on Tuesday night.

I wish we were playing Mansfield. Cloughy owes Sharpe one.

 

Us getting 6 points is entirely possible given the run of form we are on. The problem is the points the teams above us are liable to get which we have no control over.

I don't think we are going to miss the play-offs by much, and we will be left to rue wasted games.

 

We shouldn't have lost to Forest Green Rovers. That's all I can say!

 

Doncaster look like a shoe-in for one of the spots on their recent form.

If we win the next 2 we will be on 69 points, which would mean we are competing against Barrow and Crawley. One of our fixtures is against Barrow, so if we win that then both Barrow and Crawley have one game left. Barrow would only need a draw to secure the spot over us on goal difference, Crawley would need to win.

Both Barrow and Crawley are on diabolical form at the moment.

I wouldn't want to bet my life savings on us getting the last spot, but it's not a totally impossible scenario either.

It could be an awfully interesting last day if we beat Barrow on Tuesday, which has suddenly become a massive game in our season.

Barrow have Mansfield for their last game, who are second in the table having won their last 4 games. You would expect Barrow to lose that.

Crawley have Grimsby, who may be 4th from bottom but have won 2 out of their last 3. It's by no means a certainty that Crawley will get the win they need from that.

We have Newport, who have lost their last 6. Ok, we're guaranteed to lose that one...

We need to beat Barrow on Tuesday. If we do that, then anything could happen and it isn't as much of a long shot as you might think.

 

It's an incredibly long shot. Always has been. Results yesterday don't change that.

 

It's not a static situation. Results always change things, that's why odds at the bookies alter over the course of a season.

I wouldn't want a fortune bet on it, and it probably won't happen. But it's not a ridiculous scenario, nor an incredibly long shot at this point.

I don’t know, we are certainly seeing some metal from the players, and Lady Luck has finally put in an appearance. Several times in the latter stages yesterday we defied logic to keep the ball out of their net. Even the sending off of Jamie yesterday could be a blessing in disguise, he can’t play Tuesday and he always plays better when he has had a rest. Plus Smallwood has suddenly decided to actually be a captain and marshalled the troops yesterday. Who knows it is City, anything could happen.

 

If you want to waste a fiver, then yes.

I think they've played better over the last few games because the pressure's been off. Now it's back on, let's see how they deal with it. A win on Tuesday might make be believe they've got it in them to take it to the last day but I'm still very much of the opinion we won't win on Tuesday night and that will be that.

 

It's not happening. Too many variables that need to go in our favour.

The players deserve a lot of credit for their attitude and spirit in overturning a 2-0 deficit away from home yesterday. Fair play. And their attitudes of late also deserve credit. The flip side, is the same attitude was sorely lacking 'when it mattered' through much of the season. That 3 game home spell last month is what will ultimately cost us.

The defence is still a problem - I can't for the life of me fathom why GA rates Ogeyoke.
