They could put the price up by another 10% and it would still sell out. Not saying i agree with it but like any commodity its the supply and demand ratio and football at the highest level isn't the working class game of 30/40 years ago. The owners know they have the fans right in their pockets. Unfortunately every penny of a ticket hike goes in the players pockets and the owners bank accounts.

 

Surprisingly they are a self sustaining club……I’m not surprised with all the TV revenues . We can but dream Dave?

 

I’m sure I suggested the same a few weeks ago as was swiftly shot down in flames by @Bronco and @Onside amongst others.
Shutting the top tiers is too late now because they’d have to give a period of exclusivity to those who have to move to secure alternative seats unless they make the whole ground unreserved seating.

 

I got a few pelters (on social media) weeks back when suggesting we’d be well shy of 10,000.

I think a lot of people, and definitely the club, have vastly under estimated the apathy that has crept in over the last season more than any previous.

It’s not just the football on offer, it’s the complete and utter disregard for the fans who have quite frankly been treated appallingly and taken for granted.

The radio silence in recent months and lately the ticketing shambles shows just what they think of supporters.

I’ll call it now, without the chairman, or someone, throwing money at the club, we’ll be at risk of financial collapse next year

We've had a few months now with perhaps 30-40% of our fanbase not attending games. Obviously some will renew, but others will be finding alternative ways to spend their time at least until we start being competitive again.

 

Shot down in flames, you , I disagreed with your post and offered my reasons why I did not think it would happen, its a message board we can disagree it would be boring if we all agreed, as you say I would find it very unprofessional for the club to start making changes now were so near the deadline but I'm hoping these sort of silly comments won't be made next season as we'll have had a very successful 2024/25 season.

Just to add this forum represents only a very small % of Bradford City fans, and having read fans who weren't going to renew now have renewed I'm not surprised keep up the good work guys and Gals.

Because IMO it would come at a big cost to the club, lets say in the upper tiers of the Sunwin there are 2,000+ ? who pay for suites that is a big chuck of brass to throw away, plus as I said you can't expect those paying for hospitality to sit with fans in the lower tiers when they have paid for a match day experience, what a way to treat potential new supporters.

 

Think Spurs tickets went up by 5% didn't they? Probably the best stadium I've been to, and probably one of the worst to actually get to and from. Went to watch the NFL a year or two back and couldn't believe the nightmare in trying to leave that place on public transport.

There's just 1 overground station which is tiny and the queues were going near enough back to the stadium for, or a 2 and a bit mile walk to the nearest underground. We opted to walk and it was quicker after a pal text a friend who loved down there and waited for the train. Mental how busy the area is and how little transport is available.
