    From time to time my phone loses charge. Or l charge it in my car and have on a couple of occasions forgotten to bring it with me. What do l do then? I don’t use the Google wallet and resent being forced to do so.

    If you offer them free of charge to everyone then most people will take up the option as a back up which means they've got the cost of printing them and also the cost of distributing them. It then completely slows down the transition of everyone going to an electronic ticket which will happen at some point in the future which has already happened at a lot of the top grounds and will filter down.

    That's why they give you the option to print it out so you've got the option to print a physical copy yourself. If you go with someone else then send them a screenshot of your ticket. What about if you only have a plastic ticket and lose that or leave it at home? That's no perfect way of doing it and with every method there is always a drawback and potential issue.

    Here you go chaps. I've managed to find my helpful post from a couple of years back. All you need is a printer, an old plastic lid and a few other bits and bobs and...hey presto - your own "plastic card" for free...

    Yes I was told if I really wanted a ticket there would be a charge, but they didn't know what it would be yet.
    A little irritating as we paid £5 for the current card and were told it would last 5 seasons, but it turns out it lasted for 2. Not a lot of money but when you're told one thing and something else happens it doesn't inspire confidence or happiness amongst supporters.

    Thank you - this worked perfectly for my daughter’s account.
    Unfortunately for my sons I used the same email address as my account and cannot login for that one! Suspect it’s a trip to the ticket office to sort that one out

    I have had a very quick reply from Mick Lamb. Apparently the Eccleshill address has cropped up incorrectly for a number of people and is a data migration issue, which is still being investigated. Anyway the correct address is now attached to my son's account.

    Printing 15000 cards with the same QR code won't work though... I doubt a different individual QR on each card at that price is an option but sorry if it is...

    So what little data migration did take place wasn't fully successful? Testing, testing, testing.......probably a technical breach of GDPR also.....

    yep as the electronic version of the season ticket will be emailed out and it might cause issues if two accounts have the same address

    If the ticket office staff have access to the FAQ on the ticketing section on the website it says the plastic cards will be £5 each


    Youths, Juniors, and supporters requiring accessible facilities, along with their personal assistants, will have the option to request a complimentary physical plastic season ticket card - the procedure for which will be communicated in due course. A physical plastic season ticket card will be available to supporters without access to a smartphone, for a nominal, one-off fee of £5 - reflecting the club's continued commitment to sustainability.

    I got a couple of those emails when I was setting up friends and family. I just ignored them. Not apparent why they were sent.

    I got them as well when sending a manage request to someone else and they got the same email so looks like someone hasn't set that up properly as I would assume there should be something like a link where the error message is to accept the manage request.

    The more little errors like this crop up it strongly suggests this was rushed out with little or no testing done before.
