David Sharpe appointed Head Of Football Operations

Not as many as there used to be though !

 

Here's a scary thought: imagine if Gent gets bumped up a level and becomes "Technical Director", "Sporting Director" or some such. The even scarier thing is that it could actually happen!

 

I don't see how that works - someone as well connected as Sharpe reporting into our dribbling buffon of a CEO? Nah, summat amiss / piece still missing (unannounced).

Has someone amended the date from yesterday's to todays?

 

Surely it’ll be a director of football or similar not the same role as Gent is doing? Wouldn’t it be easier to just kick Sparks out and give him his job and get another DOF?

 

Unless we do the most City thing ever and promote Gent to DOF.....

I’m sure we’ve invited applications,paper sifted,had a rigorous interview process and done our usual due diligence on any outstanding candidates and not just appointed him because he’s Sparks’ mate.

If there is any truth in Sharpe, I think it would be a good appointment. However, there's no way I can see him taking orders from Sparks as he will see right through him for the fraud that he is

Or maybe that is Rupps plan? Gently prise Sparks out of his role?

 

Must be DoF…but as others have mentioned, after I thought about it for a bit, I then realised the prospect of Gent (sounds like a pub) being promoted to DoF and this bloke taking on recruitment is VERY REAL. Promoting in house on a wing and a prayer to save money: its a bantams thing.

 

Roger said a few days ago that Sparks was mates with him, maybe that was a hint to what was to come. As Roger also had a go at a poster for bringing up old familiar names I’m going to presume he’s also against hiring mates, or is it a different set of rules for those you get on with?

 

Looks like they were right again. Makes you wonder who they know as they tend to get most things right and we're the first to see through Sparks
