Mansfield Town absolutely are a special team at this level, but it's taken a while under Clough to get to this point.

There has been both patience and steady investment in the first team.

Well done to them for not allowing themselves to become a laughing stock. They used tried and tested methodology, even when they let 'big' players go they tried again with other good names, and just kept evolving.

I can't speak for Mansfield fans or @Staggo but it probably hurt to let Cook go to a rival and see him do what he did last year - we know that pain, but they didn't give in, sack the manager, punish the fan base, etc etc etc, they moved on to Keillor Davis and he's their top scorer leading the line for a side who are probably going to win the league over sides like Stockport and Wrexham.

If from Rupp, Sparks is telling lies ,if not true Rupp is telling lies, if just a fan on a wind up, then he is telling lies.
Is it one of, both, or all three of the above.
The ground is probably going to cost £5 million in my view.
You would have to value it around £3 million plus pay for the remaining years rent, £1 .2 million, which the pension fund are guaranteed and maybe something against the built in 25 year renewal.

 

Although yesterday you were up against a clueless manager, I thought your front 6 took full advantage and pretty much tore us a new arsehole for the entire 90 minutes. I would have said all 6 were 8 out of 10, the movement and interplay on a dogshit pitch was actually a pleasure to watch at times. The fan claimed Rupp said exactly that, that the stadium would cost 5 Mill to buy back. We know the fan spoke to Rupp because there is photographic evidence to prove it. There is also photographic evidence to prove that said fan was very angry and was shouting at Rupp and waving money at him telling him to invest or sell up.
I don't doubt Rupp said to him what he claims he said but whether it was true or not remains to be seen. Up to him now to prove it with actions, not words.
