Yeah who will fork out £15-17 million for a mid table 4th division club. Plus putting money in etc etc. You would need £25+ million minimum if you wanted to get out of League 1 as well

I think today just highlighted again how immobile we are, something that was supposed to have been addressed in January (presumably because we signed wright)

All across the team there is no pace and everything from running, passing etc is just pedestrian.

I thought we had signed a mobile wing back in Richards but Christ he is so slow and seems to react so late before making a movement.

Our centre halves , including even the two not playing look like they run in treacle,

Smallwood and McDonald can't run in midfield, odour doesn't break sweat, same with chapman.

Upfront wright and smith look slightly faster however smith invariably gets knocked over when encountering a defender and Wright runs ok but just pulls out of every tackle when he gets there.

It's embarrassing. It seemed like Mansfield had three extra players today but it's just because they were quicker to get to everything, quicker on the break and quicker when getting back to cover.

Today was a humiliation and showed how far we have fallen into the abyss. The club shows no drive, ambition or motivation.

I don’t think it’s worth 15m.

The club for years and years have done nothing to even gain assets. We new FFP rules based on commercial income and revenue generated this club is going nowhere fast, as lots of outgoings go on the rent or the ground and school we train at.

 

What's ironic was that starting 11 looked to have that pace, the thing it didn't have and I expressed my concerns was bottle to fight if the going got tough, Mansfield were a good side but we offered little with regards getting stuck in and battling, what was Alexander thinking.
