I posted earlier in this thread that there needs to be some kind of insurance you can buy that refunds travel costs should an event you are travelling to not going ahead. That would mean clubs / referees could literally wait until near kick off before making decisions without risking fans being out of pocket.
Standard travel insurance doesn’t cover things like this.

Could be a high-scoring game as Notts are shocking at the back but seem to score for fun throughout the season.

If this was to be postponed then the only 2 possible dates for it to be rearranged are 19th March or 23rd April which is in the last week of the season so would could end up with a repeat of last season with a must win match the Tuesday before the end of the season.
It was probably a good job we lost to Wycombe or we could've been looking at 2 games a week until the end of the season

 

I'd be fuming if it'd have been called off too but there were many who said the game should have gone ahead. The baffling was specifically regarding the complaints about the pitch being deemed unplayable.

But let me just spell this out clearly again just in case you’ve misunderstood. There is no knight in shining armour and no queues of investors willing to buy the club that would / could do anything better than Rupp. The best we’d get is someone vocal like Mark Lawn who in truth didn’t have the funds to progress the club beyond league 1

Tbf loyal is a lot of things but certainly not a happy clapper, they’ll be the first to start pissing and moaning again as soon as the tide turns again. Fickle yes, negative certainly, happy clapper certainly not.

 

What you , I or anyone says about the pitch isn’t relevant whether we like the decision or not. The sole arbiter is the match referee . I’m not a professional referee, I doubt very much you are too. We have no say in the matter. The issue is all this could have been prevented by proactivity by Barrow in alerting the referee in advance. Someone has clearly messed up. The travelling supporters pay the price. Barrow should refund every penny of travel costs , but as that then sets a precedent, it won’t happen unfortunately .

 

A fair point but very very unlikely to happen, unless clubs join ABTA
