Barrow on Saturday will be a real barometer of what we can do in the rest of the season.

 

Boring. But playing six defenders I shouldn’t really be surprised

A few on here were writing Kav off in the first half!

 

5 clean sheets on the bounce, obviously not all down to Walker but IMO he's made our defenders look more comfortable at the back, long may it continue.

Today was about getting the 3 points. Was impressed by Duke McKenna, out of contract in the summer.

Credit to Oduor for man of the match performance.

 

I don't think anyone was writing either off, but there were questions about the breadth of our recruitment policy.

Both are doing well. Walker looks an upgrade on Lewis, a traditional safe hands and commanding keeper. And Kavanagh looks promising.

 

Very frustrating at times but getting the job done was all that matters, I like the look of Kav so far and done more in a City shirt in 3 games than Young has for us so far. Hope he can continue his goal scoring form, please don’t play Stubbs in mid again, he gave his all but the lack of mobility is bad enough without him in there. Another good game for Walker in net as well and Oduor, the rest need to do better against better opposition.

 

It was good to come away with a win and a clean sheet in what would usually be a banana skin match for City against the side at the bottom of the league.
Most of the match was forgettable, but I really enjoyed the one pattern of play showing real skill that won us the match. Oduor is playing very well lately.
I liked it that we applauded the 87 travelling Sutton fans when the crowd numbers were announced, and not in a sarcastic way either. Some effort to travel all that way when your team is at the foot of the table.

It gets worse for Lewis.Conceded another 4 today.

 

Solid performance and the record books will show 3 more points. Was never going to be free flowing football.

Looking hard to beat right now. We had half a team out today with suspension or injury so I will take 3 points all day long.

Liked what GA had to say after the game about squad rotation and learning from previous mistakes.

Odour and Kavanagh were the difference second half and what a calm composed finish from the young lad. We have a right player there.

Finally Walker in goal-what a calm and composed keeper with two terrific saves today. Comes and catches crosses etc. Must give the defenders in front of him real confidence.

 

On an unrelated point, I was given a free ticket for the game today so it was my first venture into Bradford Town centre for about 18 months.

What an absolute sh*t hole its become. Very sad to see.

 

Did we win though??? Yes we did

Stop bloody complaining, we are 2 thirds through the season, it’s been a drab affair and this bunch of players are limited, we know that much for certain. But right now we have won 3 on the bounce, a game away from Wembley, and 2 points off the play offs. Mate I’d resigned us to finish this season 5th or 6th bottom, and we are now becoming the form team. I’d have taken this all day long after the Swindon and crawley games

 

Guilty as charged, and he wasn't by himself, we made it difficult for ourselves the starting 11 made no sense to me, we should have gone in at half time at least 2 - 0 up and Andy Cook should have had a hat-trick.
We went from a team on Tuesday night that put MK Dons under pressure with our high press, contested every second ball winning the vast amount of them and then sink to that level today, baffling but fair do's we collect all three points and keep another clean sheets 5 on the bounce, on to the Wycome game.

 

Money isn't everything, but you learn that with age.

I drove through Great Horton on the way to the match, it is an unbelievable shithole, litter absolutely everywhere and no self respect from the locals. My lad actually pointed out the fact that we didn’t see a litter bin all the way through, what do you expect
