Transfermarket shows periods of injury for players, Monkey

Edit: doesn’t down to L2 level by look of it. Seen it for Salah, as an example, but upon closer inspection for Pattison just says ‘not in squad’ and doesn’t distinguish whether thats by injury or manager choice. Doh

    In his time with us:
    • 21/22 (half a season): 19 games
    • 22/23: 27 games
    • 23/24 (so far): 25 games
So not sure why we would struggle to get 20 games out of him. This recent injury is in no way his fault and could happen to any player at any time.

Are these league games? I’m not bothered about the cups. I’m talking about the games that actually matter in our predicament.

    Not great reading, that.

    Reminds me of Andrew Davies.

FWIW I would have kept Davies all day long, but you have to be pretty brutal.

Walker is 30 and his style lends itself to injuries.

I'd offer him one more year, and if he again failed to get 30 games I'd let him loose.

Chances are somebody offers him longer and he goes, but at least try to keep him on a short term deal.

There is no planning that I can see. I cannot believe that he wasn’t screened for a broken leg when he was first out with this injury! He will not play again this season in my view. Gent should have been out looking for a replacement! “We don’t class the players who are not part of the team as a mistake, we say it just hasn’t worked how the way we wanted” so now we have two injury prone players on our books who will not play this season. Plus Mr Gent if you never acknowledge your mistakes you never learn what went wrong and are more liable to repeat.

They are not cheap, so my guess is no, please don’t let’s waste money on players that are no good enough. In my view Gent is not up to the task,

Why it was a belt of a tackle at Doncaster from memory? I’m sure.

Walker and Patterson are probably the two players we could forced to lose. If Walker has a broken leg I wonder how it was missed at his first meeting with the specialist

As usual Kev, Walker takes some bloomin' hard/harsh tackles and the one at Doncaster was a hell of one, right on his ankle.
The lad tried to carry on but no chance.
I don't understand why people knock him for being injured like that, how the hell is it his fault?
I suppose teams know the threat that Jamie provides and their brief is - "take him out, stop him playing"

Yes I thought it was Donny too. I’m more than certain the opponent targets him. He takes some right whacks. Complete rest and go again after the summer. Not worth the risk anymore BiG?

Minor hairline or stress fractures don't often show on X-ray in the first few days. If he's trained on it, it would worsen the fracture line and after about 10 days new bone is forming which is brighter on an X-ray.

Of the 3 of Walker, Chapman an Pattison

Walker is the best technically, but always gets injured due to his style of play an cannot be relied upon

Pattison should be good, he would of been back by now had Hughes not rushed him back from injury to save his skin

Chapman is a winger. Hes failed to decieve cus he gets played out of position constantly. His best form was at the end of last season. Have a guess where he was getting a run of games at? thats right, on the wing

What's strange about the modern game is that it is far less contact than back in the day, but creates far more injuries. If walker had played for in the 70's he would have been crashing into tackles week after week, but probably never been injured.

I don’t know where this “ broken leg” comes from but GA says he had a positive scan 10 days ago and making good progress

More like a broken bone (small?) in his foot I think.
