GA is at fault for picking him. Got outpaced for the second goal which drew Stubbs across and left their scorer with a tap in.

Awful, awful player. Not on his own mind. Kelly is as bad. And that's just a start.

 

I agree. We've only got Stubbs and Platt that are league two standard (I'm not including Tomkinson as I've not seen enough yet and he's been unlucky he's come in at a time when we're awful). Just play them in a 4 and have done with it!

 

One of the strangest signings ever is this fella, he's clearly not great by any means but the most baffling point is that he is a virtual carbon copy of the defenders we already had in the building, I'm confused to fk with this club at the moment as to why we constantly see our managers sign large unneeded numbers of dross squad players and take months to eventually see failures fans spot right away, much much smaller squad of high quality isn't that just obvious?? And should we be hugely unlucky with injuries throughout the season leaving us well short then we simply bring in our youth to fill the holes, we could even stumble upon a gem who rises to the big stage out of nowhere, and the main thing for sure is our crowd will get behind our youth.

 

I'm thinking as we can't buy a win, and he clearly thinks the team can only play hoof ball, just play a 442. Halliday and Ridehalgh/Richards are more full backs than wing backs, play Stubbs and Platt again as a pair or Tomkinson for some pace. Chapman, Odour, Pointon, Wright, two of them as wide men with the sole job of getting forward, stretching the opposition and bombing balls to Cook as the target man, Young as the other forward.

He clearly couldn't get a tune with the 4231, 352 hasn't given us hope. Just go back to basics at this point.

 

Nobody in their right mind would possibly suggest this lad would be a good fit or good buy for any L2 team. This is a damning indictment on Gent this one... his first window seemed great, since then the recruitment he's overseen as been abysmal

 

I've seen a few Swindon fans on twitter commentating about how bad he was. They weren't taking the p!ss, they seemed genuinely sorry for us.

 

Signing made absolutely no sense. Platt and Stubbs were slow last year so why would you replace Crichlow with a new CB even slower than our others?

 

He’s got a good throw in though on the plus side

 

I don't think he's taken a throw in since pre season. His one attribute and we don't even use it.

 

And yet some continue to talk Gent up.... baffling. How he's still with us i will never know

 

I think it is because we have no quality leadership. Nobody wants to let anyone go just in case they are next. I understand they are thinking about their own careers and not the welfare of this club. It cannot continue like this.
