The expansion of NATO can't justify the invasion of a sovereign country.

Not saying it can, just saying that I treat with scepticism all mainstream media coverage these days, on any topic.

Ukraine is just a puppet to the west.

Our media post the start of the conflict paints Ukraine to be all these innocent LGBT tolerating, diverse, peace loving, happy families that were displaced and bombarded for no reason.

If you search for articles about Ukraine before the conflict began, it is very clear to see that there is a HUGE neo-nazi problem, those of whom are linked DIRECTLY to Zelensky. It is clear that LGBT communities are far from safe, in fact they couldn't even hold marches due to fear/threats and of physical attack. Ukraine is a very racist country with neo-nazi military.

However, the narrative very quickly switches once this conflict begins because the west will support anybody against any of their 'enemies'.

Had Ukraine done what Russia have done, would we be funding Russia? No. Why not? Because of politics. It's all b*llshit.

We certainly wouldn't see stuff like this from our new post start of the conflict narrative of Ukraine:

30, 000 deaths. Absolutely horrendous. Killing starving innocent people looking for aid.

    Shame on you Israel.

There are grievances on both sides but the hostages need to be returned and the killing ended. There is no justification for this massive loss of life

Grievances ffs there were 1.200+ Israelis going about their business and were massacred on 7th October and you put it down to grievances, give your head a shake.

Look at history. I am certainly not excusing this barbaric attack and I hate Hamas. But 30000 people have been killed imagine that double the amount of people attending an average city game including recently a 100 queueing for food parcels. A truce followed by a just settlement is needed

No need to look too far back have a read of this https://www.britannica.com/event/Israels-disengagement-from-Gaza . that was around 2005 the Palestinians then In 2006 held the second set of parliamentary elections in its history, and Hamas won the majority of seats in the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), of course it has never been a situation where there has been no conflicts but since Hamas were voted in the situation has escalated, Hamas were voted in during 2006 and there have never been any kind of elections since, there lies a clue.

As long as Hamas are in power the IDF have to destroy them surely you accept that, that's the time to start putting conditions to Israel with regards Palestinians returning to Gaza, both you and I know that doesnt look like happening soon, how can you debate with a terrorist group who's belief is the annihilation of the state of Israel, we can post articles from both sides it wont make a lot of difference to what's going on, a surender and the handing back of hostages would go a long way to bringing this conflict to an end.
Then the real work starts I doubt very much the Israelis would allow the Palestinians to return and poetically the reforming of Hamas or any other terrorist group on their borders.

I believe IDF's stated intention from the "get go" (7th October) was to crush Hamas so it ceased to exist, if they don't the whole sorry events of the last five months will be repeated ad-infinitum.

There is no "co-existence" it can only be one or the other.

It did surprise me when the hierarchy of Hamas stated they didn't expect the ferocity and longevity of the response to their 7th October attack.

    Again my opinion only.

That comment would be funny it the situation was not so terrible, they knew exactly what the response would be from a far right wing prime minister like Benjamin Netanyahu, this was his chance to do exactly what he's doing, and unfortunately it's the Palestinians people who are suffering.
I have no doubt Benjamin Netanyahu intentions are to take the fight to the Rafah Border Crossing with Egypt to finally destroy Hamas but as with many terrorist groups it will reform in a friendly country.

Yasser Sinwar seems to have been surprised, Hamas poked a stick into the tiger's cage, the surprise is surprising.

I believe the repercussions of this conflict will tip the balance of power in the middle east, and quite probably the world, over the edge.

The individual names of the current politician's are irrelevant, this is a historical catastrophe.

There needs to be an international response to the problems in the Middle East. Isreal wants security and a just settlement is needed for Palestinians. A 1000 Jews and 30 times that Palestinians have died. Either engage in fair talks on both sides or have support ended.

The news said that Cyprus, UAE, the USA, UK and EU was to build a humanitarian harbour in Gaza to deliver ais, Later in a news conference the leader of the EU Ursula Von De Layden in her speech said that it would be constructed by Cyprus, UAE. the USA and the EU and another nation, She could not bring herself to mention or credit the UKs role in the venture and shows the feeling against the UK leaving the EU is still strong

Far easier to arrest the one protester, than try and pull a couple of Hamas jihadi calling protesters, I give you free speech, our brave forefathers who forfeited their lives in past wars to allow these people to protest and chant the vile stuff they do must be turning in their graves.
