Well, after 28 years I'll only renew if Rupp and Sparks are gone. If they're still here I'll be taking a break.

For those (rightfully and understandably) stating that they are primarily renewing purely for family time - could you not take a season out and go on 16 or 17 different days out together, or even a random bigger league match or two, for one season?

If everyone collectively did so - the message reinforced to Rupp would be absolutely colossal.

If things drastically improved, you can always start going again, just pay game by game. The initial hit of a significantly reduced season ticket sales figure would send the biggest possible message IMO.

Awaiting the 24/25 Season ticket campaign to go live.
The views of those who post on Bantam Talk are but a speck of dust numerically.
In the grand scheme of things how many family members, work colleagues and friends in general have voiced their opinions on the current state of play down at Valley Parade but don't par take in social media what's so ever.
Interestingly and only based on my own verbal conversations over the past month or so,my findings would suggest strongly that the club will have to pull one hell of a rabbit out of their hat to secure healthy season ticket sales.
How many people do you know seriously who are having second thoughts about renewal next season if we remain with the same set up?
There's a fine line with everything but unfortunately loyalty ain't what it use to be.
It's all about money not football these days and if you don't have an entertaining product it won't sell.

Problem could be if you start watching better quality matches, you might not want to come back.I watch very little football outside of league 2,and non league, for that very reason.

Look at the crowd last night which starts to speak volumes :( i will be actually be amazed between now and the end of the season if we hit a gate of over 10k.................. your talking months of thousands of people finding better things to do.
This club is damaged and sadly till the person who was jnvolved in the start of this decline is gone then this will continue to go on.

Folk will still go and i aint gonna pull them up but i simply refuse to give a penny to a man who aint gonna match thousands of peoples support of this club and a CEO who thinks he doing a good job.

6 years of shite thousands on the verge of walking away so well done Rupp and Sparks you must be fooking proud

I guess Sparks is desperately hoping the Bristol st motors cup run continues and ultimately results in a Wembley final.
Can’t see any other way of him spinning the season ticket renewal guff that he’s used previously while the stench of yet another mid table finish looms.

Whilst personally I don’t think beating a couple of U21 teams and a Barnsley 2nd team amounts to much, the Derby win and what will have to be 2 good wins to get to the final will definitely deserve praise.

However, whilst a Wembley final will be good for the club coffers(Rupps pockets) and a short term boost in fan morale, looking forward to yet another season in the arse end of league football and yet more empty promises and sound bites will determine whether people renew their tickets or not.

I don't think you can used last night attendance as any sort of guide going forward, the football hasn't been great but it was more to do with it being midweek raining most of the day and windy, as it turned out it stopped raining, the wind was not a problem in fact it was quite pleasant, shame the game didn't live up to our expectations.

The problem with that "hope" is that the current level of apathy in the club could lead to severe embarrassment in terms of the tickets sold for the final. I'm not sure I would bother, having not been to any of the previous "BDSM" cup matches (pun intended)

To some extent that's applicable. But if the team was challenging for promotion and playing exciting, entertaining football. I doubt that even the dodgy weather would have kept people at home.

I bet we can all remember games where the weather's been atrocious at VP. But when it's been a big game or they're doing well, people will turn out regardless.

Last night looked like complete apathy to me, those that didn't use their ticket knew they wouldn't be missing much. And that's a very dangerous situation for our 'proud custodian' and his CEO. Many won't protest or kick up a fuss about what's happening, but they will vote with their feet and wallet when ST's are up for renewal.

Yes of course if we were playing anything like fans would be attending in bigger numbers, unfortunately we are struggling to play at an acceptable level for pro footballers maybe I emphasized the weather a little to much but I think it also had an effect on last night turn out. as well as the product on show.

The dilemma for the club now is how many fans have simply had enough and won’t renew even at low prices.
We could end up with only say 8000 renewing at £199 which would give us half the budget we currently have. If this was to happen I would fear relegation next season.
Those same 8000 however would probably renew at increased prices and so would offset the loss of disillusioned fans who’ve given up.

I don't know about that Loyal, quite a few of the people not renewing next year are what you would consider guaranteed renewals regardless of price. I think if they increase the price they will lose many more.

The low price is no longer the reason people renew, its a sense of loyalty or habit

There’s no easy way for the club to determine how many of the current 15000 season ticket holders are engrained into the club and will renew no matter what and how many are only there because it’s cheap.
If the club get it wrong and keep prices the same and only 50% renew then we are in big trouble with a bigger deficit and zero chance of keeping sellable players or promising kids.
So I say to the many thousands thinking of packing it in. ‘Do you want non league football or worse in a few seasons’

this forum does represent only a small % of city fans but if the almost 30% who say they wont renew their season tickets from here is repeated across the wider support Sparks should be fearing for his job, the loss in revenue will be huge surely even mr invisable will start asking questions about where his customers have gone, make no mistake these 2 see us all as customers who they have taken the piss out of for far too long

If we lost a a several thousand at the prices we've been used to then it would make Rupp sit up, he would either have to invest from his own pocket or worst case scenario go with a budget the season tickets generated and hope it does devalue the club any more if it did bring relegation God forbid then he's in trouble with regards his investment.

I'd think there would be more than Ryan fearing for their jobs, if we have a top 7 budget or better and we struggle to make a challenge anything lower could possibly see us looking at the other end of the league.

His investment in this club is small change in the grand scheme of his entire wealth.
I’m sure he will be annoyed at losing it but it won’t bankrupt him if we go to the wall.
The only people that will suffer are us, the fans.

Agreed. I think these days there are a lot of people with Firesticks, which let you watch every match home and away for less than the price of a ST. People can protest against the club by boycotting yet still watch every match that way.

The club should be really worried.

I think last night showed us who our real hardcore are. Personally, i didn’t ever seriously entertain going as Tues nights are a pain in the arse and the weather added to the reasons not to go.

I’ll always support City but I have no sympathy for this underperforming regime and will boycott if the fans decide to organise a protest.

its the only way we’ll get him out.
