I'm with you on this one tbf, yes our recent history suggests he's failed with managerial appointments for sure but to cut him a bit of slack the last few managers looked good appointments on face value initially but didn't work out for whatever reason, yes you could argue MH was an odd one with being out the game so long and not many previous clubs fans had many good words about him, but I'm sure we can all hold our hands up to being guilty of start struck and desperately wanted it to work.

 

They're both personally great people. I have a lot of admiration for Sparks as he's put a lot of hard work into getting where he is right now. The problem is, should he be where he is? Commercially, the guy is in his element but on the football side of things, it's quite the opposite.

Gent, again, he's got a good CV but the job is much harder the further you go down the pyramid and maybe we've had to settle on a lot of secondary options

 

Can't make it up our captain were making strides and getting better.

That's the players attitude they don't care they think there doing okay

 

Wait until the new manager comes in and performances and results stay the same. They'll be saying that they aren't his players so he must be given a summer recruitment, at the minimum. In reality they are deluded, kidding themselves. This squad has been poor all season with the odd decent performance. It's mid table stuff, which is just about where we are.
No manager will turn this around until a number of players are shipped out and a number of new ones are shipped in.
The recruitment has been pss poor. Naff all K. Mcdonald or anyone else can do about that until the summer. Forget the January window, mostly it's a terrible time to recruit new players.

 

Definitely without doubt the same old not his squad etc will be rolled out which is always annoying, but I feel this time it will be genuine

So with our awful squad of players do we think KM got it wrong today selection wise? With the current players available what are peoples thoughts on who they would pick?

 

I think we have a good 13 or 14 players with pattison and chapman in that first eleven.The rest are not good enough.

 

If you ignore current form I'd say the only good players are Walker, Pattison, Cook and Lewis

 

Unless he’s sorted out the next management team by the end of the weekend we’ll be in Nov 2021 territory. This squad needs the fat trimming and stability. Not the constant chopping and changing we’ve seen all season. Not sure how many managers he’s gone through but I can’t think of another CEO at our club who’s been through more. This vacuum at the head of the first team is negatively impacting not only results but performances too. If he gets any credit it’s not handing MacDonald the gig 2 games ago, when many including me would have said it was the right decision,

 

Really poor defending for both goals.

 

I’m so fed up with these players I wouldn’t mind a total clear out.

 

34 years of watching City and honestly feel like this is our lowest point since I started watching them.

Appreciate we had some shitty times under Taylor a decade ago but f...me. i am sick tp death of us getting beat and handing over points to out of form league two dross.

Not sure I have the energy or want the emotional investment anymore. Its like a toxic marriage....

 

Me too but players don't become bad players over night and I think the few good players I mentioned are easily good enough to be part of a strong promotion chasing squad but they will also look poor if you surround them with dross which is what we've done.

Sorry Bronco - the fact we "were" going to recruit him given his injury record. Do you think he would have been an asset in how Hughes decided to set up the team or a struggling one as we have now?

 

Rotten to the core. I feel like we have exhausted every type of manager and the supposed superstars we sign never seem to work out. Why the hell do we have 30 players on our squad when only a dozen are good enough.

 

Because someone gave the kid in a sweet shop every type of sweet he wanted and couldn’t say no. Now we’re left with a bag of salted liquorice and strawberry bonbons mixed in with mint imperials and sherbet pips. Non of which go together.

 

Without Hughes we're not just boring.

We're legitimate relegation candidates.
