History always finds a way of repeating itself.

 

The Beeb jump on whatever narrative gets the most views. Most people in this country, i stress most, would prefer if both sides of the conflict tolerated each other. And when someone mentions 'left wing' or 'right wing' in conversation its a clear marker they have no impartiality whatsoever.

Going back centuries wow. The land up to the creation of Israel was owned primarily by Arabs and it's been stolen from them. The bible is not exactly a legal document. A Jewish homeland was not agreed upon by the population that lived there at the time. People forget also the British soldiers dead to Israeli terrorists who fought against British empire owning Palestine. Ffs if that was Ireland you'd be swearing at the Irish for killing Brits so hypocritical.

How can you not see how removing a person's property from them and shoving them into increasingly impoverished enclaves would result in an armed insurgency? Genuinely interested to know.

Hamas are despicable btw the videos of those children being taken hostage are horrible. It will have a lasting impact on me whitnessing that. I hope they are removed. But I hope Palestinian children don't continue to die so Israel can achieve that.

Not trying to cause offense but your claims are really one sided. There's 23 dead Palestinians for every Israeli since 1946. If you are an Arab Israeli or Palestinian you are essentially a second class citizen. Can pull out several barbaric examples of laws which cause this.

I think anyone defending the tactics of hamas needs to get there heads checked. Anyone supporting Israel's right to oppress is no different though. Both groups are immovable it's time they begin to moderate themselves. Attitudes like they owned the land because of arbitrary words written by a deity invented by men is not going to help young Israelis from getting attacked. Quite the opposite.

That's confirmation that multi-cultural integration into British society has failed.

We can't get any lower than celebrating terror attacks on innocent young people on our streets.

As we know this will go on and on it can only come to a conclusion by sitting around the table and trying to come to an acceptable solution to both parties.
I'd suggest the last thing you do is poke the bear that has a military the size of Israel and the weaponry and technology to back it up is a stupid ploy, for ever Israeli that is killed 10 Palestinians will lose their lives, Iran will be the country that is backing Hamas, as they openly proclaim Israel should be wiped from the face of the earth.

 

The T&A are reporting on a march to City Hall today which no doubt will see a large number turn up with Palestine flags etc.

In the recent past the cub scout's St George's day parade and the flying of the England flag has been refused so not to offend.

 

A truly horrible situation with death, displacement, aggression, violence, belligerence effecting all faiths. A very sad period for humanity especially with children of all faiths caught up.

 

I do agree in the main but if the vast majority waving the Palestinian flags just after the attack on Israel aren't supportive of Hamas and the attack itself then I'd be massively surprised.

You're right to compare it to Ireland though in that it's a very delicate issue and one we're not likely to ever see resolved fully.

 

Interesting to gauge the mood there in respect of the slogans and chants. Maybe silent vigils and prayer like the ones held by jewry around the UK, maybe not. I wonder...

 

There are no winners in this conflict. Religions, like cultures, don't mix. Was working at a house in the city last year, owner was a deeply religious man. Openly hated the jews and quite happily told me so. And this will happen regular on both sides of the religious divide. My worry is i see generations of young kids being indoctrinated to hate the other side, i happily had no religion in my life due to my dad so never got to be brain washed as a kid to blindly follow some ramblings in a book.
