    Of course it's in the model. They want to develop players, grow the club and at the right times, sell for profit to re-invest. Increasing revenue through a steady supply of player sales is a key element of their plan

    Its their plan all over. They haven't bought this club to keep spunking their own money keeping it afloat. The plan is for self sufficiency and theres only one way to do that in league 1 when you have cheap season tickets and little TV money.

    Maybe I’m wrong but I interpreted Edins interview differently.
    He said we can’t compete in the championship so we need to compete a different way.
    He wants a team ready for the championship. A team that has grown together. There fore I think he wants to buy young keep them and develop a team capable of championship status. Selling players for profit won’t do this. I would of though if he finds a player worthy of the championship then it would be more benificial to keep them. If we sell them then we would need to start again. Or buy a player equally as expensive.
    I get what your saying I just think it’s not what he meant.

    I've laid into Edin something fierce over the last 12 months and the jury is very much still out.

    But fair do's, the recruitment this summer had been excellent. And announcing Doyle coming in at the same time as Wyke leaving, is excellent PR. Maybe lessons are being learned....

    I'm still hoping for one more striker though...
