If it is permanent I doubt it’s Sharp or Doyle. Not a rumour or anything but I saw Burton had a bid under consideration for one of their players possibly Boyce who I think would be a good signing

I know this will be taken with a pinch of salt but Alan Nixon when asked about Sharp coming in suggested Kean Bryan from Manchester City might be incoming instead. That's if I've interpreted his tweet correctly. He's a big lump of a box to box midfielder or CB, 21 year old. This is obviously as well as a permanent signing of a striker.

Boyce is a good player and scored a lot of goals in Scotland prior to joining Burton but I am sure he had a bad injury last season and missed a large part of it

I’d wager that the permanent deal will be a striker from league 2 or the conference. It’s a key part of Edin’s model - being able to show young players with potential that a year or two with us is a great platform to a bigger move. The Wyke deal is a great example of the model in action. And strikers are the ones where there’s most value and money to be had by all.

I wouldn’t discount a loan deal for someone more experienced (like Doyle) in addition.

 

Can't see them letting him go. He signed a 3 year deal in summer 2017 and was their record signing. Even if they do sell, he won't come cheap with 2 years left on his contract.

Selling players in isn’t the model. He want to buy young for cheap and develop so when we get promoted we have players ready for the step up. Charlie wants to move has no choice in it. If we didn’t implode after jan we would be keeping wyke.
