Remaining Fixtures/Results/Points/Position Predictions

I'm alternating between moments of extreme confidence and abject terror. It's playing havoc with my insides.

 

If we get all 3 points I'm not bothered about how the other contenders do......................having said that I wouldn't be too disappointed with the Carlisle game ending in a draw, Sutton beating Northampton and Newport continuing their recent good home form and either beating Mansfield or getting a draw.

 

Northampton lose.
Stevenage draw or lose.
Carlisle Stockport is a draw.
City win.

Another one to add to the Northampton injury list, their captain is out for the season.

 

Possibly the worst set of results we could possibly have seen tonight.
Dropped points to everyone yet we Still have a possibly path to promotion by beating Northampton and winning the game in hand.

However if we can't beat a poor Swindon side and with a second half so lackluster I'm not confident we have what it takes to win 4 on the spin.

 

After todays performance we 100% won't win 4 on the spin, more chance of losing 4 on the spin, Wouldn't surprise me if we miss out on the playoffs now. All the other teams are hitting form and we are relying on a striker who has somehow scored 27 goals but has potentially the worst first touch in the entire EFL. League 2 is a certainty for next season!

 

No point fooling myself any longer. Rochdale away is likely the highlight of our season. I can't see us getting more than a point on Saturday and once we are out of the play off positions we won't get back in. This team hasn't the balls to put a marker down. The consequences of last nights failure will play out in the coming weeks. Like a fool I got caught up in the hype and renewed my season ticket. I feel cheated.

Nobody promised you promotion or forced you to renew your season ticket. Contact the ticket office, I'm sure they will give you a refund.

Then when we get promoted at Wembley, go back to ticket office and pay an extra £102 to renew again.

Out of interest, if we’d have played the Crewe game and won, we’d be in 4th place , 3 points behind Northampton with a better goal difference and still to play them next week.

Would it still be over then or would you be seeing things differently?

 

We might get a win on the final day if Orient decide to play like this for the rest of the season.

Carlisle seem to be drawing every match. Salford lost at home to Colchester at the weekend, so not every team hitting form right now.

Exactly! Even if we’d have won last night, the next 2 games were still massive and must win.
That hasn’t changed

 

I always felt it was unlikely we'd continue our unbeaten run to the end of the season. We were due a defeat so we need to ensure we go again. Win on Saturday and it sets up Northampton. Always felt we'd need to win there anyway.
If we dont make it then the play offs are a lottery but you cant write us off. Massive blow last night but its still there for us if we step up.

 

Applaud the optimism. I believed we could catch Orient a few weeks ago. Hughes should roll the dice and replace Cook with Oliver against Gillingham.

 

I bet your a gas at a party, I'm not sure that's true many of the teams around us have dropped points recently, look at last Saturdays results only Orient won the rest drew or lost.
