Looking at that, defending Platt is a bit of a stretch.

 

At least 4 or 5 defensive headers too. Great game.

 

Brilliant goal I was right behind when he won the ball , I was shouting square it, square it!!

Shame it doesn't show the first yellow either which was incredibly harsh and their lad made an absolute meal of it hoping for a free kick because he'd over hit his pass.

 

Shouting for Cook to square it in the box (even though he still had plenty to do) shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence, he only had one thing on his mind (well maybe two I'll score and up you'res Cloughy).

 

Three thoughts on that

1. How did a player who allegedly does nothing except score make himself the room to get that goal. What a work rate, fantastic goal.
2. That was a very soft foul by Platt, barely worthy of a free kick, and kicking the ball away (whilst just about worthy of a booking) is something we see go unpunished week after week. Harsh decision.
3. Looks like the ball was kicked out of Lewis hands for their goal. If Platt's was a foul then so was that.

Great win, poor reffing, can we play in that kit every week as our best two performances have come in it.

He wouldn't be at Bradford City if he did, but credit where credits due Andy Cook is having a fantastic start to the season and no doubt he will finish the season as our leading goal scorer again, as he has done in previous season he's pulled on the Claret & Amber shirt.

 

For sure mate I would like to clarify I'm very much a fan of Andy Cook, the guy gets goals and goals win games.

 

He has to keep scoring as MH keeps trying to squeeze Oliver or Angol up front

 

He'll need to be rotated so both should get game time and hopefully when they do they give Hughes a headache by playing well and scoring.

 

Nice one I have to question those saying apart from his goals he offers nothing, but hey its a football forum.

 

I agree he helps out a lot defending but why can't we have a pacy player in the centre circle when he does,it annoys the hell out of me

 

There are a lot of players in the 60's in terms of goals scored for us and Cook is currently on 34 I think. Extend his contract and by the time he leaves he could well be in the top six, overtaking Joe Cook on 68.

 

Agree with all three points Ulysses. To expand on your first re Cook. So many people focus on what he supposedly can't do and in that, totally underestimate what he's great at. The lad scores goals for chrissakes! That's what he does. For years we've complained about not having a goalscorer. Now we complain that our regular scorer of goals doesn't have various other skills. We're L2 for xxxxx sake and we're lucky to have him.

 

That question has been asked many times and apart from having player advantage in the box from corners I can see what a Wright or Pereira offer, IMO Wright should be the out ball there would to be two opposition defender to look after him I can't see them leaving a one on one situation

 

Meanwhile, the Norwegian Andy Cook did sweet f.a today. They’ll be calling for him to be dropped.

 

Yep. If he doesn't score he's clearly not contributing. I'm not sure why Pep puts up with him
