Foulds did alright. Put some tidy crosses in.

 

Spot on re the ref. The ref was fine. Its 4th division football. Far too many fans see the officials as a convenient excuse for poor results and performances. We lost today because Stockport controlled the game from start to finish, we played poorly and we seem to be naive to the reality of what success at this level is based upon.

 

Yeah, but even he was no more than a 6/10.

 

Seeing as the Defeat Incoming thread was closed, I told you. This type of result has been coming.
Perfect from Stockport. They did a number on us.

 

We have been found out, they know we play from the back and close us down. We don’t have a plan B.

 

I agree. Our performance levels worry me. I don't see enough progress and unless we adapt, we won't go up.

 

First time.All the games i've watched we've been totally outplayed football wise.If things don't improve vastly,theres lots more of this coming,We are being told we have the best squad in the league,im not convinced.we have a non existant mid-field, without asolid mid- field your on the backfoot most of the game

 

I thought Lewis and Foulds played well. To be fair they usually do but when your keeper is generally your best player week in week out then you know the rest are far from the finished article. Terrible performance today but no surprise as it's been coming for weeks. We aint as good as the results have been and today our luck ran out.

 

Foulds. And Wright who wasn't at his best but was no where near a four.

 

This was a championship referee believe it or not. 7 games done there this season.

 

Suprised East not on bench. Least he offers forward play unlike gillead and smallwoods constant sideways or backwards passes.

I know limited to subs so some missing out but Harratt no point even being on bench, if we need goals and he can't get on no point being sub.

My thoughts on the game

Lewis - 7 - Would of been a 6 if it wasn’t for that fantastic save near the end. Needs to hurry up a bit. Slows the game down too much

Halliday - 4 - Shite. Arguing with Lewis to pass him the ball when all Halliday does is go forward 4 steps, turns an squares it to Platt or passes it back to Lewis. Like if your gonna ask for the ball, at least fecking do something with it. Then again, He didn’t have a winger in front of him. Poor tactical change from Hughes there

Platt - 5 - Did okay.

Odusina - 2 - Got pocketed by the Stockport front line. Poor in the air. Poor positioning. Shit passing. He lost the ball 3 times in the first 5 mins of the game. Got turned inside out for the pen

Foulds - 7 - My personal MOTM. Did well. The players around him let him down


Smallwood - 5 - Not poor. Not brilliant either

Gilliead - 3 - His worse game this season. Made no influence on the first half. Kept running into blind allies in the second. If your playing as part of a midfield 2, you can’t hide. Didn’t want the ball half the time. No movement off it

Periera - 2 - Never got into the game

Chapman - 2 - All over the place. Put him back on the wing for feck sake. He isn’t a 10 an he never will be

Wright - 5 - Good set pieces. Didn’t get much time on the ball. He got marked out of the game in the second half because he was the only bradford winger on the pitch

Cook - 5 - He did feck all but I don’t blame him because he didn’t have any service


The Subs
Oliver - 5 - Won some flick ons but everyone was asleep to the second ball. Got no service
Songo - 5 - Made to look like Maldini based on Odusina’s performance. Dont know what the feck he was doing at the end though
Angol - 4 - Made no difference
Sutton - 2 - Ditto

Refs don’t force players to needlessly give the ball away with sloppy passing,which was happening far too regularly in the first half.
Refs don’t make Pereira virtually invisible for 45 minutes(Lucky if he touched it more than a handful of times,and none in a dangerous area)

Fans better get used to teams using the so called dark arts.
Next time we are 1-0 up with 5 minutes to go and a city player goes down with a “head injury” will they be criticised for use of the dark arts.

Jokes aside, this result was coming. We’ve rode our luck over September an now the chickens came home to roost. Poor from the get go. I get it, its football, your not gonna win every game. But the least you expect is for your team to match the same intensity as the opposition. We didn’t do that. Poor passes throughout. Nobody on the same wavelength. Body language on the players said it all.

The setup we’ve gone with for home games has been found out. You can’t have Cook playing on his own. It doesn’t work. Not that it mattered, because Hughes went to the opposite side of the spectrum in the second half an had 3 strikers on the pitch. But he forgot to leave anyone on to supply the crosses

 

Platt did ok? He was shite.

Cook was shite

Barring Lewis every City player was shite.
