Well deserved win tonight, terrific work rate, that Cook is shite though, all he does is scores goals and wins games, what's all that about.. ?

 

Good win. Let's not be fooled by Tranmere's indifferent start. Last season, along with Mansfield and Bristol Rovers we saw that you can't read too much into fancied teams been near the bottom.

Last season, in an almost identikit match, we lost and that's when the wheels fell off.

This season we've won.

An that will be the difference between 14th and I think an awful lot higher

 

Needs to start defending more for me, and haven't seen him skin a single player this season, 1 star.

 

I'm not convinced by Crichlow. Looks classy when he's not pressured, but ropey as soon as he's asked to actually defend.

Good win, deserved in the end. I'd still like to see us be a bit more ruthless in the final third, but hopefully that'll come.

 

Dion looked like he was playing his first real match of the season. Knackered about 60 mins in.

Chapman needs to produce more chances for me. When we're missing Walker and Banks we don't have as much threat.

Second goal showed exactly what was needed - retaining the ball in the opposition half and not running into cul-de-sacs and giving the ball away like Young did.

 

Great result. Tranmere fancied by a few at start of season. Showed some resilience there and we were better than them. Big game Saturday now against Stevenage. I am sure some will come on here ready to dampen down any enthusiasm!

The second goal was an example of what we don't do enough; worked the overload and got the ball into the box quickly. We overplay at times.

 

I think some fans are going to have to hold their hands up and admit that Gilliead, might not be the worst signing ever after all

 

Up to 6th now.

 

Shout to Wright and Sutton who allowed an outlet in the second. Gave Chapman more space centrally.

 

I was one and he's had a decent start to the season.

Tranmere last season where nothing special ............ they got away with a point last season even with an extra man on the pitch ........ be amazed if they get anywhere the top 10 this season

 

Good away win tonight, we sounded like we didn’t know what had hit us beginning of the 2nd half but credit to the team, they steadied themselves.
One point from me tonight though is, the rest of the team need to start chipping in with goals as we cannot rely on the Cookie Monster each game.

We signed him as a winger which in all honesty he was shocking so folk had the right to have a go but WOW he’s really thriving in that midfield role
