im not choosing their positions. Im categorising them based on their preferred position. Staunton an FCD are naturally Centre Backs. Its like putting Foulds down as a CB. I mean yeah, he can cover there if we REALLY need him to, but even then, You’d think of him as a LB

I wouldn’t class either Staunton or FCD as full backs, even if FCD has covered at RB in the past. He just looks really uncomfortable whenever he’s deployed there.

Threlkeld up until recently was a CDM. Up until Hughes came in, my guess was as good as yours as to what Gillead’s best position was. He spent the rest of the season playing CM so was categorised as so.

Whatever you think is their preferred position doesn't really matter though because at the end of day, they aren't good enough, regardless of what position they play.

Thats two. The music venue is nowhere near finished yet. Theres St Georges hall but you wouldn't come to see it, you'd be coming off the back of a gig. Walk about 5 minutes or so in any direction away from City hall and it's awful. Centenary square and outside John Street market is just a meeting ground for degenerates.

Lets be honest, Bradford isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, and it does have it fair share of poverty, more so than other cities admittedly, But its really not as bad as people are making it out to be. The city centre is alright at best, Public transportation is adequate. The variety of food places is better than 90% of cities in the UK. An you actually do have some half decent areas where there’s clearly a bit of money floating about

All you need to do is cross the Pennines to visit a true shithole, Blackburn, Burnley, Wigan, Rochdale, Oldham, Bury. All of them have feck all going for em. Even Blackpool is 90% run down, despite having the beach an the rollercoasters.

You’re right, Staunton an FCD both need sending out on loan at this point. Their respective growth has been stunted for far too long and they aren’t cut out for League Two football but the potential is there to see

You amusingly call Parker out frequently. How do you do that if you don't read his articles.

After all this recruitment and the optimism for the coming season. Who would be to blame if it all goes wrong? Don’t think it will but if it does who carries the can?

If we fail next season, it's a legacy of long term failure that necessitated a total overhaul.

We shouldn't be overhauling everything. Most of it should benin place, with Hughes picking up from the previous manager's good work.

Since that's not the case, the blame lies at the owners door.

Hughes should have walked in with a team already in place on and off the field.

    He hasn't.

It’s certainly not a guaranteed quick fix regardless of how the recruitment looks, there comes a certain amount of managers when you just have to look elsewhere at the club it’s just common sense.

Agreed. This is the first time since the takeover that we've had a squad in place where the majority will be here beyond the end of the season. I really hope this works because failure isn't worth thinking about.

If Hughes can’t get us promoted then no one can and we all might as well give up.

TBF get a player down to the last year of his contract and they are a bit easier to move on. Halliday is an example, year left with Fleetwood, we offer him 2 years and Fleetwood are happy to let him go.

You're right though. Other than swapping the loan players, not a lot of scope for change over the next 2 seasons.

If we are aiming for success, which I'd guess we are, what comes with that is no reason to change.
