Mark Lawn insists a big signing is coming and this seems more realistic than other suggestions, especially if a 1 year contract linked to appearances is in force.

Didn't know who the black guy was and both photos look doctored. However if we are making a huge signing, Carroll doesn't look outlandish. He wants to play, has been released by a mid table championship club and failed a medical. A contract with an appearance and a get out clause could be beneficial to both parties. By January, there will be championship clubs desperate to improve their goals tally and if he has proved his fitness it could be good for him as well as us. Might be total bollocks but I don't see Mark Lawn as a rumour monger. I didn't think Walker or Smallwood would sign but time will tell on this one.

I'd hold back on any more signings until January now. Have a war chest for the final push.

 

We still need another RB an a RW. I also believe we may see some outgoings in the next few weeks, The likes of Threlkeld, Kelleher, Staunton, FCD, Songo’o, Cook may depart. In the case of the latter two, we would need adequate replacements on top of the 2 positions we already need to strengthen upon

 

mid we do well then I’m sure that war chest will be vastly bloated by the pay on the gate fans
