South Shields (managed by Kevin Phillips) just signed a second former City player. Dylan Mottley-Henry joins Gary Liddle. They paid a fee as well.

Seems like they're going for a place in the Conference North next season.

Doubt it. If they were, I don't think they'd have signed DMH.

 

Very good set up at South Shields.
Saw them a couple of times last season and they were short in a couple of areas when it came to the crunch at the end of the season.
Two signings that will definitely strengthen them

 

I've no doubt Liddle will.

 

Having seen them as well, and the standard of football at the higher end of that division I’ve no doubt that DMH will improve them considerably.
There’s a reason they’ve identified him and paid a fee for him as well.
He didn’t make it for us but he’s a competent non league player

They are planning more signings in the next few days, money for fees or players wages isn't too much of a problem as they are backed by a local business man who writes off their losses year on year

 

The new stand he built has ridiculous corporate facilities that mean it’s close to being self funded now but yes, he’s backed them very very well.

 

Why is this on here? Surely its where are they now and not a transfer rumour?

 

Any predictions for this week? Just 11 days off the deadline. Surely at least 2 new signings/announcements in the build up.

 

Didnt Sparks say there would be a large flurry of ins and outs just before deadline day?

Some deals are done, some deals are nearly over the line , some we are waiting. Think that’s what he said?

 

I think there'll be a big announcement or two over the build up. I wonder whether one or more of the OOC players have signed and we're tactically choosing our timing of announcing? Don't many people get paid on the 15th of the month...?

 

Sorry what deadline is this? Is it for players out of contract? As usually the summer deadline is 1st September.
