    Id like to think UK audiences have recognised the role right wing media and social media played in the storming of Washington last year , and Fake News' . I guess they have also leant a lesson from the phone bugging ' scandals , from our tabloids. The BBC is not perfect but its faults pale into insignificance compared to Piers Morgan/Farrarge/ etc.

    Relying on the BBC is also infinitely better than trawling through first hand media, given the conclusions people end up drawing by their own inability to research and fact check.

    There is a growing idea that people should 'do their own research', but almost everyone who says that tends to have wacky beliefs that just aren't in synch with reality.

    I didn't think I would have to explain my initial post but here goes. BBC Look North is part of the BBC which you say is corrupting us all. I was merely bringing a local relevant feel to your sweeping generalisation that they were somehow brainwashing us all in a mad scramble to divide and conquer us.

    You actually discounted your own argument by deriding me for using Look North as an example of the way the BBC is apparently acting-thus negating your point that the BBC is doing what you say as they are part of the BBC and you have agreed Harry and Amy are not doing what you say they are, otherwise you would have agreed with me.

    Maybe your actual argument is that some parts of the BBC are brainwashing us but not local news teams. Begs the question which bit of the BBC do you really believe is attempting to divide and conquer us.

    Paul Hudson recently did a piece on 'climate change' and you could see he was doing it through gritted teeth, but yes wokery has not yet completely dominated the local news, but give it time....

    Im against the cultural intolerance of people who disagree with people who have trans issues and the debate around what is a woman. I will never refer to someone as 'they'. At the same time I think this labelling of everything as woke is ridiculous and i bet you cant even define it.
