Hughes without backing will go the same way as Grayson/Hopkin/McCall/Bowyer and Adams and they are all experienced coaches.

 

I certainly wouldn't bet against it

 

That's where it becomes hand in pocket time for Rupp.

There's no point promising investment then not delivering just because people didn't buy into the idea in the first place.

Nobody believes what comes out of the club these days, it's up to the club to win trust and season ticket sales, not the other way round.

 

If lard ass Cook didnt need 10 chances per game to put one away the defence wouldnt always be under pressure…as for Robinson whoever told him he is a striker needs shooting..
Cant cross, cant shoot, cant dribble, pathetic excuse for a striker.. Hughes needs to drop them both for the next game…

 

Sadly I think good ST sales will make Rupp complacent and he'll think all he has to do is feign an interest in promotion and the fans will spend £££.

I really don't think he cares about our performance at all.

If 14k fans were still willing to buy a season ticket with us in the North West Counties leagues then he'd be happy.

I have trust in Hughes but I'm very sceptical of the 'backing' he'll get.

 

We have to hope that MH talks and Rupp and Sparks listen. Thought the big crowd, big excitement and big expectation got to them. The fact they did n’t turn up today speaks volumes. Those that lack skill, character and mental toughness should be on their way. That’s a lot. Big clear out. Hughes and Hodges are gonna be busy this summer.

Songo’o is simply terrible. Wouldn’t get in my Sunday side.

 

He's got a big heart though......

 

Watt can go too, I don’t get the love in with him, positionally terrible, can’t tackle and constantly gives the ball away. All the qualities a central midfielder needs!!!! Not…

 

Agree he is a complete liability at centre half!!! A midfielder that goes to play at the back a la vincelot usually you can tell by the ability on the ball, this is something Songo’o does not have always looks rushed and just hoofs it.

 

I think Hughes will love Watt. Started to see him in the QB position in the second half.
When he's on his game, his passing over 20-30 yards is cut above this league.

 

He hits 2 good 20 - 30 yard passes a game for the majority of the time he can’t pass 5 yards let alone 20.

 

With 12 games to go, its not as big of a task made out to be by some on here. If we had 6-8 games to go, Then Id understand the pessimism

 

I agree. He seems better over the 20-30 yard range than the 5 yard passes!
Time will tell.
