A huge drop in Season Ticket sales may force his hand. As you say, that hole in the roof could keep getting bigger.
At some stage he'll cut his losses and accept a reasonable offer. It won't be £10M.

It seems rather unreasonable to be so critical of an owner and his money unless you are to invest yourself. We are all close to despair but let's keep a semblance of rationality. Last night against Harrogate Truman sent out a team with more aggressive ideas. It was much better to watch. they did not play bad at all. This was its first try out. It was not going to be an overnight wonder but it is a start. Let's have a tiny bit of patience and see where this goes.

Or he could sell to somebody with a plan, some vision and the means to invest?
Refusing to sell and doing nothing with the club isn't an option. That's not being a 'proud custodian'.

    Exactly !!
We have fans that would deny anything is wrong after losing 4-0 to Farsley Celtic whilst groundsharing with BPA at Horsfall
Maybe it gives them a warm feeling of being an ultra fan I have no idea
Action in whatever form has to be taken to avoid the above scenario Mr Rupp ain't daft as soon as he sees his investment falling further he will be off like a shot rather than invest and provide funds for football personnel
The only way to expedite this is to not spend anything in the ground/club shop etc he has had our season ticket money for this season don't give him it again for next season as soon as he realises his investment is virtually worthless and he has to put money in to prop it up I guarantee he will be off
Pointless appointing a new manager till he's gone guaranteed failure within 6 months and another dent in our reputation
Doing nothing isn't an option for any genuine fan

What are we supposed to do then? Keep quiet about the decline of Bradford City and doff our caps in deference to a man with more money than us when we’re in the conference? It’s not 1920 anymore.

Park, we've been over this before.
The 'nobody wants us' argument won't wash anymore.
We know he's had at least one offer.
We can be pretty confident there have been others.
NDA's mean we never hear about them.

I’m not even sure I’m that bothered about the invest bit. The budget is there if it’s not wasted on 30 something never beens. Think back, how many people said Guthrie, DMH, Robinson, Lavery, Kelleher were all wastes of a wage before a ball was kicked. The gomperati fire back with ‘it’s no wonder nobody wants to play for Bradford City if we write them off before a ball is kicked” nonsense. I can see they’re shit and will have zero sell on value, everybody can, but people like you stick up for the club. They’re pissing your season ticket money away year after year on utter dog shite, paying off the latest manager and serving it back to you with some mealy mouthed management buzzwords.

I’d just like someone who looks like he gives a shit. Andy Holt at Accrington for example, doesn’t spend big, sells players on for a profit, building them a training ground, developing the stadium sensibly. That’s all. It’s not much to ask. Really it’s not is it?

Rupp can piss off, I’m not asking him in the words of Dewhirst to spend his kids inheritance, I just want him to look after something that means a lot to a lot of people. It’s not just a business to us.

He’s given me the right hump.

Opinion yes. Action, no. I bet you struggle to get 500 outside the ground after kick off

The vision is promotion, the investment is a decent enough budget. The bigger issue is a series of managers who were badly picked and spunked away the budget on crap. Give the FGR manager our budget, give Flynn our budget, give Micky Mellon our budget and they would all have us top six at least.

Adams wasted money on signing over the hill, injury prone players that haven't got the fight anymore.

You would have included Adams at Morecambe in your list last season. He brought in his own recruitment team so his shoddy transfer windows are his fault, but I think it hints at something deeper within the club when every manager you pick, no matter how successful, fails to build a decent side

This explains the payments to Rupp's company.

It's for having lawyers on hand to draw up NDA's 24/7.

Last night I dreamt about winning Euromillions and buying the club. This morning a NDA was waiting on my doorstep.

Listen I was all for backing him but at this point he just seems not to give a toss :( this club is in a mess it needs its leader to at least come forward with some kind of vision to lead us forward but nothing at all ...............I mean if he came out tommorow told that a new manager was in place a decent budget will also be in place and director of football was gonna come in then the majority of folk would get on board .......... but nothing yet somehow he expects folk to turn up and line his pockets ........ sorry the folk of Bradford have had enough of this sham the times of being humiliated by teams with gates of under 2k should have been done with in 2013 but no it’s got even worse now and sadly he’s sat back and let this happen ............ and so what if we go bust there is more than enough folk who will never let this club die ............. would rather see a Bradford City at non league level that I can get on board with than this complete farce :( I mean Harrogate Town I mean less than 5 years ago that was a pre season workout now we are nothing to them but 3 easy points .... ..... shambolic

There were plenty on here who wanted Adams sacked but thought Sparks would keep him until the end of the season. He did n’t. He acted because he knew it was n’t working. I don’t know Sparks personally, but despite what people say on here, Sparks is n’t stupid. Naive and inexperienced, yes. Some of his statements have been cringeworthy. He knows better than us that it’s not worked and is not working. I hated Adams but I thought it was a good appointment. Despite what we’re saying on here, if Sparks knows, then Rupp knows. Accurate attendance numbers will be ringing alarm bells in the club. As will commercial partners. Sparks has to now prove he is capable. It’s likely to be his last chance. We need him to appoint a manager and or a DoF or whatever is needed. Rupp has to agree or see his investment sink further. It really is all on them.

Frustration and emotion to one side, I don’t believe a boycott will tell them anything that is n’t clearly obvious now. I’m waiting to see and here the solution to the crap we are in and how we go forward. Without change and ambition, they can count me as lost and I’ve been a constant since the mid 70’s.
The lack of hope, enjoyment and entertainment is finally wearing me down.

I'm more than happy to continue with the boycott. One swallow and all that..

This boycott has never been against the players or manager but a reflection of the upper echelons of the club.

Having not been to a game since November, I am looking forward to going to a match. I have paid my money, there have been two substantial changes in the sacking of Adams and the appointment of Hughes. Time to have an open mind.

Sod the boycott. Get behind the manager and give Sparks time to deliver on his promise of giving Sparky the support staff he needs - as per the statement
