Not just the Nevilles, just think of all the players in that Man U team managed by Fergie-

Bruce,Pallister?, Roy Keane(lol),Ryan Giggs= a hit but maybe in the wrong way,Beckham good at getting money but never a man manager,Cole,Yorke

You would think players would learn something playing for Fergie.

 

Jagger is right, we need a long term plan bringing in young players with a couple of older heads and a coach with fresh ideas. The only snag is that it requires patience and are we prepared to wait 2/3 years for the end result.
If not we may as well take on the gobby Fatman until the end of the season.

I'd already posted when I saw your reply to Jon Butterfield, not sure there good enough reasons to bring Fowler in, but we'll soon know.

 

Pick a manager quickly who will take the job to the end of the season on trial if you like, If they do well extend it and if not look around some more, Such as Woodgate may take it on that basis and we need someone who knows what is needed at a professional club especially regards training etc where we seem to be really poor. He would be a good choice and bring organisation to the club and playing staff and a good judge of a player,

 

If it’s till the end of the season it’ll be Evans

If Sparks appoints Evans, it just shows how pathetic his leadership is and how desperate he has become.

 

Sparkes has the ability here to make a positive change to our fortunes by appointing the right man to take city forwards. It’s also an opportunity for him to shoot himself in the foot. If Steve Evans was in the stand as reported was this on Sparkes invitation? If so is Sparkes aware of what Evans has done in the past and how he would corrosively split the fan base.
When city gent editors are absolutely against such an appointment it might be prudent to question why?

I believe if Evans was appointed a chunk of fans would walk away.

Jonathan Woodgate is absolutely my choice. Spells temporarily at Boro & Bournemouth he deserves a chance to show what he can do on a permanent footing with a club. It would represent modernising; a young hungry coach with new ideas; not too long away from being a player at the highest level himself an England international. Not unlike Rooney at Derby County. Forget the Leeds connection Trevor Cherry waa all of the aforementioned. Ryan please DO NOT bring Evans to our club. Jonathan Woodgate in my humble opinion meets the profile for the club to develop a new style of play and begin to progress.

 

I'd take this 100 % at the moment, given the apparent options.

 

Id much rather Evans. Woodgate was terrible at Boro and then didn’t do well enough at Bournemouth to be given the job full time. I’m not what makes you think he can come into a mid table league two side and get a team to scrap and fight??

 

Apart from winning 13 of 23 games at Bournemouth and getting into the play offs.

Why not Evans?

 

So he only won half of the games with a squad far better than anyone in the championship last season? How did he get on in the playoffs? How come Scott Parker got the job?
Throwing a couple of facts my way and ending with couple of emojis is supposed to make me think he’s a good manager?

 

You understand they're 2nd in the table this season having won 56% of their games?

Any win rate over 50 % is phenomenal.

Clearly you didn't realise how well Woodgate had done at Bournemouth while you were dismissing him.
