He’s actually insulting us by claiming The fans are proud and happy with that performance.

He’s starting to seriously infuriate me.

The absolute winner even said that the fans were chanting and booing against him because “we wanted to win”.

He’s either a deluded fool or an arrogant winner of the highest order.

If there was a system where you could see with the right personnel it could work, then I might feel more optimistic but the way we play and set up is anyones guess. I’ve lost total respect for the guy who was happy to quote chances on target when we were making them, but is now using attempts at goal as a yardstick. Next it’ll be attacking throw ins. He’s a man of many excuses who believes he can spin his way out of the post match interviews. Playing 1 up front when we have 6 (4 available) strikers tells us why we rarely score more than a single goal. 3 defenders marking Cook is so easy and every co commentator says the same but Raynor fails to ask the question.

This season has gone and I think the players know it. Leave him in situ until the end of the season where we’ll finish mid table, then get rid. He can have no excuses when he’s judged after 46 games as he said multiple times. Sparks will be forced to either die on his sword or go cap in hand to Rupp to subsidise the inevitable shortfall in season ticket sales. He promised to get us out of our seats but I didn’t think it was to head for the exit. I suppose on this occasion he’s been true to his word.

Well, I've been firmly in the camp of giving him time but enough is enough. Last night was one of the worst games of football I've ever seen and his post-match interview left me speechless. He's a very strange and thoroughly unlikeable bloke and we've clearly made a big mistake in appointing him. I shudder to think what the season ticket sales will be if he's still here in the summer. The only question for me is just when do we get rid of him.

Does anyone fear about the type of manager who would actually want to take the job, should Adams leave?

We've gone for tried and tested, old school, hard on the players type in Adams. It hasn't worked so far. We've had the manager who tried being everyones best friend in McCall, that didn't work either. We tried recruiting up from the youths and the discipline and attitude in the squad fell out it's back side within 5 or 6 games, that that didn't work.... and these aren't plans that go back a while, it's plans from the 14 months of Ryan Sparks as CEO.

My worry is, that if we move on from a recent winner in Adams, who wants this job? From the outside looking in, a manager will see that a young CEO, is looking for his 4th manager in just over a year. That is a massive red flag. Especially when he gave a contract to a manager weeks before sacking him to start his spell, it just shows the inexperience in the boardroom that might put people off, and we are only a year on from that.

Then you don't have to dig very deep to find that Sparks/Rupp have confirmed that the club will run self sufficiently, so no big budgets to challenge the likes of Salford and Mansfield to deals along with the potential money spinners of Wrexham, Chesterfield and Stockport, all three of those NL clubs have top 7 L2 budgets this season. So any marquee signings are out the window and Sparks has said on his podcast appearance, the club no longer offers silly money out. Everyone we've signed since he came in are in a similar ball park figure wage wise. Which means your recruitment targets are all well and good, but if they dont fit into the model, they wont come. Hence being linked to 5 or 6 forwards and ending up with two loanees who weren't playing often.

You'd also inherit a squad that have seen this play out too many times and are jaded by the club. Richard O'Donnell is on his 6th coaching team already since joining City. Paudie on his 5th, Callum Cookes on his 4th, Watt & Sutton are on their 3rd, will another appointment suddenly make things click with a team that hasn't clicked in 5 or 6 years at this point?

Then you and your agent look on social media, with every tweet the club sends out lately having a picture of Rupp with the #RuppOut tag on there and another red flag is waving you in the face. The fans relationship with the owner is probably as toxic as it's ever been. Some fans seemingly only went to the game last night to have the chance to chant if/when we concede a goal. So you know you'd take on a team with no morale, that seem to fear playing at home. Gary Jones said it best last night, there's a pressure when you wear that shirt in this stadium, and it doesn't look like a lot of these lads know how to handle pressure.

There just seems to be too many obvious things, to put off a younger manager wanting another shot like Flynn, i cant imagine his agent would advise coming here. An experience guy like Paul Cook has just been sacked from a very similar scenario at Ipswich, so cant see him wanting to take on the same role but smaller. My fear is it will only attract guys wanting back in the game, without much of a plan or managers with a proven history of not really caring what the fans want and just doing what he wants, like Steve Evans.

I wonder if Sparks and Rupp kind of know this, and are just going to write the season off and sack Adams in the summer. Giving a boss a season which didn't work out, he made a lot of signings which haven't worked out. It looks better on the club to not be as trigger happy as they have been under Sparks. It also gives a manager a clean break, not having to motivate this squad to a mid table finish and play in front of a fan base that seemingly have already switched off for the season.

On the flip side, there's only 6/7 in contract next season, so a great chance for a new Manager to build there own team quickly. It's rare you get the opportunity as a lot more players are getting 2/3 year deals now.
The potential of the club is huge. Remember, we had 19,000 season ticket holders in League One at one stage.
That's more season ticket holders than Lazio get.

Flynn would get more time and have some credit in the bank from his playing days.
He always gave everything for the shirt as a player.
I'm just not sure he'd come to us.

Potential is one of little upsides, but how much potential is there under the current ownership? I suspect very little. I dont think we'd see crowds like that again until Rupp goes and it looks like we can actually play football again.

Yeah I cant see Flynn wanting this job, going by Cardiff fans, he was the running for their job until they gave it to Morison for the rest of the season.

The tide is definitely turning if not turned
At the end of September I was in a small minority to see what was coming and wanted him out and was given pelters for it
Still some on here want to give him till the end of the season why I have no idea
Its time Mr Adams did the decent thing and resigned he never was capable of doing the job
Go now Mr Adams whilst you still have a miniscule amount of credibility left
National league or lower is your deluded level

Depends if there where other options out there ???
I mean if he ain’t been offered anything then can he afford to turn down a few hundred thousand to manage us ????
Like you said the msjority of this lot are done in the summer you get the likes of Gareth Evans off the books and there is a wage just there to bring in a far better upgrade ............. I would weeks ago have given Adams the chance if this summer but what’s gone on lately his interviews his signings and his tactics then for me he just ain’t gonna cut it :( I mean could you trust a man who thinks that the likes of Robinson and Lavery are deemed good enough for a promotion charge ????
The board also have got to make a decision they either put a big budget in place or welcome to years of nothing because if Wrexham smash there way into this league then straight away there will be only 3 places up for grabs next season .............. they are on a mission now to buy there way out of this league before they even get here

Parky came to us after he flopped at Hull. Before that he'd had a lot of success at Colchester.
Maybe that's what we'll end up with. A young Manager who has shown he can do it but fallen off the bike.

Not all Managers will work. Only 4/24 can get promoted each season.

The frustration for me is the infrastructure comments from Sparks. The club needs to have a plan and recruit Managers that suit the plan. It feels as though within 3 months we'd ripped it up and given Adams free reign.

Everytime a Manager leaves, we're starting again.

We will not have a better chance of getting out of this poor league and we are throwing it away with Adams in charge and his lifeless football

I'm sure that Rupp does have a vision for the club. Howevrr imo, it's not one which fits well with fans. His priority is his investment, not the club. I've described his vision elsewhere. To simplify things, it simply means his priority is his letting the club tickover with incomings matching outgoings, providing Rupp with a small return on his investment but above all else avoiding Rupp having to dip into his own pockets. It will have to be better football management combined with a large dollop of luck which gets us out of this league. Rupp won't be funding it.

It will also explain that Sparks probably won't be sacking Adams in the near future because that might well cost Rupp money. The best we'll get is Adams walking and agreeing not to have his contract paid off by the club. I don't imagine that will happen soon.

That's a depressing future for those, unlike the owner, who really do have ambition for the club.

Sparks trying bringing up the money thing in his recent podcast appearance by saying just throwing money at a squad doesn't work all the time, which is true. Look how many years Salford have been in this division, always with the biggest budget but they've never been in the top 3 really.

But he was going on about not throwing big money and we use our model. I feel like there is a very good middle ground between launching money at players and operating in our current model of self sustainability only. I don't think anyone wants to break the bank again, but if the self sustainability model means we have two windows like we have had this year, we need to get comfy in L2 and set our expectations to nothing more than faint hopes.

This league is so poor (shown that we actually are still in touching distance of the play offs despite being awful for the majority of the season) if Sparks grows a pair and acts now I still genuinely think we have a chance of getting into the play offs. However leave it much longer with Delusional Derek in charge and we will have blown the slim chance still available. Looking at the teams likely to come up this division will be much harder to get out of next year.

Gaslighting is the term I would use for that interview.

We know he's always deluded in terms of the performance but certain comments last night were ridiculous.

I saw the Staunton comment as a middle finger up at the fans who have been questioning why he hasn't had more of a chance. Effectively saying "I've sold the club captain for this lad you rate to move up a place in the pecking order so you should be happy."

Funnily enough though, Staunton didn't even make the bench last night and was told by Adams that he isn't viewed as a centre half anymore in pre season.

    Adams out.
