No he's not. He might be head and shoulders above most in our team but not most in the league.

 

If u look at this morecambe team they have what u need to do well in league 2, a spine of a team that will not be bullied. Lavelle at back diagouraga and songo in cm Stockton upfront. None of these of brilliant technical players but they build a solid base and let the other players around them do the business. If we do bring in Derek adams, hope he brings some of these players with him then get quality players around a solid base

 

Haven't seen much from this Stockton today. Not enough to show he'd be any better than Cook or Novak on today's showing anyway.

 

That's because he's not.

27 and around 20 league goals in his career? Not one to be holding on for, I'd much prefer Cook if we could bring him back.

Agreed about Stockton, Morecambe has brought the best out of him this season with 13 goals from 40ish appearances.

Did nothing recently with stints at Tranmere,Hearts and Carlilse- Adams must rate his hold up play more than his actual scoring output.
Mind you, with City's recent troubles with forwards than can score goals Cole Stockton could fit in really well here.

 

Not a Stockton fan. Inconsistent throughout his career. We should be looking for a 20 goals a season striker though I do realize, there ain't many of those around.

 

But Adams has got a tune out of him and it’s a while since any of our strikers scored 15. Having said all that I don’t know a lot about him

 

Yet Bolton and fleetwood from league 1 want him somebody better tell them our expert fans know more than the professionals

Oh ive seen the experts on here sneer at Lyle Taylor, Tom Eaves, Matt Crooks, Paddy Madden, Matt Godden, John Marquis, Billy Kee...none deemed good enough for our massive club. List is endless.

Stockton looks like the Mick Jones-type at Leeds in the Revie years (not quite on the same level) who works hard but never gets praise, just tries to bring people into play and be a foil. Interesting if anyone has any stats on his assists? Wearing a No.9 shirt always gives the impression you should be a natural goal-scorer. Not saying he`s heading our way though.

 

The lads I work with certainly don’t want him to leave. Though they were giving him stick and hate the fact he’s a Boro fan up until this season.

 

You know why. You've spent the last ten days running wellens record down at all three clubs hes managed. I don't need to quote them, you know what you've said, so pulling someone up for having a downer on Adams is hypocrisy.

 

In all my comments on Wellens I explained that he has had three clubs and failed in two. I didn’t get an explanation on why the poster had a downer on Adams
