I love it that Fordy never appre
Shout out for your result too, Sean. And thanks for keeping in touch with us. Fans should stick together, we all have a huge amount in common, care about the same things, just different coloured shirts. Go well for the rest of the season, mate. Think you can do it - from nowhere, hope we can now too.

No, I expect to beat FGR and most other teams in this poor league.

We are behind the 8 ball and really shouldn't be in the position of chasing 7th.

Fordy, we've won 4-1 today and are three points off the play offs. Why do you continue to hate the club you claim to love? All you ever give us is hatred towards any result on the pitch, any development off the turf. Your negativity is continually utterly toxic. Nothing the club does is ever good enough, according to your stratospherically high standards. There is no sense or acceptance of reality about your comments in your (mis)understanding of the current situation of where City are as a Lg 2 club or the progress they've made during the last few months on and off the pitch. I'm sure you enjoy your self-designated role as Mr Nasty/Agent Provacacteur, but there will be many City fans who would love for you to just give it a rest. It's really depressing. You spread misery, never ever joy. And in the world we're all living in right now, a little more joy would;d be very acceptable.

I do keep track of our own cards, to see who's in line for a ban and how, in general, we behave, but that's about it. I'd expect the Greenies to get a few more calls than they deserve, though, simply on the principle of squeaky wheels getting the grease. Too many refs -- across all sports -- let themselves be influenced by that kind of behaviour.

    That was a nice win.

Great result today. Despite their very high environmental standards as as a club, FGR are like a 21st century version of Revie's 'dirty leeds'. So, to beat them when they had ligit claims for a pen is even sweeter.
I have to laugh at the comments about the subs weakening the team. We scored two after we made the subs.
Once again a stupid foul outside the box lead to a goal. This needs cutting out. It is costing us. Luckily we were 3 up at the time and one of our subs gave us that 3 goal cushion again.

To be fair if you read back I was just answering questions.

Today was a great result and an excellent 3 points.

Picking holes I would say we should have been out of sight at half time and our midfield was sloppy.

Believe it our not I am extremely happy with how we went about the game today.

Which game was Cooper at certainly not the game I watched , no mention of the great effort that hit the cross bar or the great save from Cooks early volley, what a p***k.

He tried hard but he's not a great right back and he's not a cental midfielder either. He gets nervous when he's closed down and does an erratic pass and when he has too much time he isn't sure what to do and uses the ball poorly. He also automatically retreats. At two points in the first half there was a lad running at our goal and he retreated behind the centre backs such that one time Canavan made a tackle ahead of him and another time Paudie! He should have been the one protecting the back line!

He's only playing there because we're short of options although I can see he's trying hard.

Anyway, would rather not moan, it was a great result against a promotion chasing side.

Got to agree. AOC is only getting the gig because there's no one else. That doesn't mean he's the answer to our problems.

Agree with you there. If this was the Prem/VAR, it'd been two own goals I think.

Best I've seen us play for a long time today. We looked fluid. Evans must have been on a Red Bull drip last night, because it's the most mobile I've seen him for a long while. Watt looked up for it, and was super happy with his goal. I thought the first half was very open, and there was a lot of flowing football, therefore creating some cynical fouls because of it. For sure these FGR boys don't like decisions going against them, but I thought we handled it well. Loved it when AOC did the same back to them! Can't be arsed to run through what we already know. Hitting the crossbar from halfway though -damn that would have been good if it had gone in - finally we might have featured on Soccer AM's highlights for once.
All in all, very happy, and I really hope this propels us onto an unbeaten run til the end of the season, and then who knows where we might end up.

Having spent a minute talking about the poor decisions, then says that's not an excuse then spends another minute berating the refs performance....fool!! Think he's a plank too Dave. Should have mentioned that his team couldn't cope with the high press, his keeper can't kick, his subs didn't work....blah de blah...

Cheers hornseabantam, top post. And you're spot on, we all care about the same things. Think I've said it before but this is the first season I've ever posted on other fans' forums...but I love it because it's the chat about the game and club we all love and that's been so missing. Really rooting for you to get into Lg 1 next season...and, as I said, hope we can help.

Btw does 'Fordy' ever cheer up.....?

He is second only to Steve Evans in the dark arts of football management, and presumably, never his fault for getting hammered. Saying they should have had 3 penalties is embarrassing.

Just read your spat on the FGR board Sean. They were after Cooper big time last night but the thread has been taken down as inappropriate.
For me nothing changes with them, screaming for pens, captain conducting a running feud with the ref, etc. To be fair the might have had a pen for Donaldson's high boot and at 3-0 they poured forward with threat. Think they will stagger into the play offs but expect my vegan pie next season.

Rowes shot was on target so even the Prem/var people would give that to him and I’m sure Cook hit his second rather than the defender.
