I don't blame the club, it was admirable effort but ultimately all that effort could have been saved if someone had bothered to ask about the road situation.

 

but it may be needed. that's the point.. at this moment in time we can't guarantee to fulfil the terms that need to be met to ensure the match will be able to go ahead under all safety measures. it's off and no matter how much people moan on here, that's not changing.

So should everyone should stay in until it clears ? What if someone who lives around valley parade falls ill, are they left until it’s safe?

Surely the council need to clear the road for the residents as much as the businesses in the area.

The side roads and even a main road in Idle were treacherous on my commute home from work this evening. More snow on top of this will make for shocking road conditions tomorrow

The thing is if we had been playing a northern team the decision could have been made in the morning but has it is there is snow in the forecast so not much choice

 

Just looked at bbc weather which suggests about 6 hours of Snow before it turns to rain

Yep, BBC site also suggests all temperatures after midnight will be above freezing and any overnight snow will turn to rain at around 9am. The pitch isn't frozen now, won't freeze overnight and a shed load of grit would make the roads safe. Bizarre decisions

 

Just when are we gonna play all of these games? No choice but to extend this season now surely?
