I'd kill for 59 points right now get us to the end of this season with our football league status. Its not a lack of ambition it's facing facts that are players are way below par have zero confidence and will be lucky to pick up any points before the window opens. So yes someone who gets 59 points out of this shower is more than welcome to the job in my opinion

I know exactly what I'm on about as does everyone else on here bar the one person (you by any chance) who thinks that it shouldn't be sol Campbell. He's had two jobs and his only claim to fame is keeping Macclesfield up then walking away because they had no money. Something he knew when he took the job. No thanks, he's just not good enough for what we need.

Actually I think you are the one who doesn't know what he's on about because a) Campbell will never ever manage a team like man City and b) of course he would do better with them because they are quality.

We are of the same quality as Macclesfield when he was there so 1.23 points per match with a similar squad isn't good enough.

If Sol gets the job I'm done.

Can't stand the bloke. Always uses the fact he's black as the reason why he struggles to get management jobs, nothing to do with the fact he's just a shite manager of course.

    This might sound silly but

    Harry Kewell.

With Danny Rowe, Dylan Bahamboula & Carl Piergianni coming in January - all out of contract in the Summer I believe.

    Allardyce for me.

People think we can't afford him but I think we can. If Rupp is serious about selling out, he can offer Big Sam share options on top of a modest wage. 2-3% of the club for staying up. Another 2-3% for getting promoted next year. Club goes down Sam gets nothing extra. Club stays up and sells eventually for £3m in League 2, Sam gets a maybe a £75k bonus for 6 months work. Club goes up next year and sells for £6m in League 1, Sam gets a £300k bonus. If it works, Sam and Rupp benefit. If not, it does not cost the club much.

Sign Big Sam up and get next year's season tickets on sale asap while there is something to be optimistic about.

(Failing Allardyce, I'd be happy to see Parky back. I suspect he could plug our recently leaky defence without needing loads of signings and reckon he cold probably make some progress on a tight budget. Okay, his first stint was not pretty but I'd be happy to see us hard to score against again.)

He is a Welshman and managing a welsh team that seem to be going places so even if we found the compensation it’s a very unlikely one

Talking to our visitors from Southend when they came they said Sol was a disaster. Lazy and clueless, their words not mine.

Do you not think there's a difference in budgets between Macc Towns and the rest of the league? 17th would be a decent result for them..

If there is a ‘No Deal Brexit’, then Germans are likely to require the equivalent of a work permit if they wish to commence employment in the UK, and an application for Temporary Leave to Remain. This could deter many foreign applicants.

Graham Alexander my pick. Has the pedigree at this level. Our aim should be promotion, not to stay up.

Sol Campbell has a very poor record at Macclesfield and Southend. It would purely be a box ticking exercise which disgusts me. After all us fans have been through we deserve better.

The job needs to be given on merit, not to appease a load of yoghurt knitting lefties.

No to Mike Flynn. No to Parky, and he's already confirmed that. Why do we keep looking to ex-players and managers as solutions? Isn't it that the point? That returning to the past has done f all for us? We desperately need new blood, new ideas, leaders who will push us forward with some keen ambition and a plan for the future. Oh... and a new owner and CEO.

Lucien Favre is Swiss and out of work, though a 60% win rate wouldn't please many

What a very strange, often ridiculous input by @Onside87@Onside87.

If I didn't know better, I'd think you were gullible and put twenty pounds on Sol ;););)
