Ive taken in Bradfords situation.. What about the parent club or the player who might not now be happy for Bradford to only cover 1.2k of any wages.

 

Yes we discussed it many times and as I posted I would think Stuart has a similar standing with past team mates or acquaintances.

 

I don't want to be picky but he didnt bring in anyone really in his second spell and was working mainly with Parkinsons core of trusted players. His time at Scunny too. I can't think of anyone where he used his vast array of contacts which didn't result in him getting the sack.

I'm happy McCall is back he certainly plays the game the right way.
Where have I said otherwise with regards to where we are as a club, I know exactly why we are where we are as a club and I'm far from happy.

 

I've said that many times when posters were saying Parky left him with a depleted squad, that was not the case but even though Parky left him with some good loyal players he introduced players to enhance the way he wanted us to play, actually bringing Cullen back.
I'm not sure why you bring his time at Scunthorpe up it's irrelevant to the debate, your going a little OTT with your response "think of anyone where he used his vast array of contacts" I never said he had an array of contacts but did say IMO I believe he would have a good reputation within the game and that can at times get you a loan because he plays football in the correct manner.

 

Instead of scouting players and having a list of options for each position, we let agents know that we're looking for a right back. When they come back with a name Stuart gets out the ipad. Very poor.

 

Clubs send their youngsters out for development, not to win medals. A couple of years ago, we had a dreadful season but I,m confident that Udders will say that it did their youngster no harm I'm also confident that Stuart will be seen as a good developer in experience and character.

 

If, as seems possible, this is true, it is a shocking way for any professional club to go about their transfer business. Is this a Stuart McCall process, or Bradford City in general, since Abbo left?.

Everything under Rupp screams of an amateur way of running things. I appreciate the financial backing he is giving us at the moment, but we do need to get our house in order at the way we run things from scouting players to manager recruitment.

I read that we are hoping to have a couple of friendlies lined up, Bolton have already played 2 friendlies, with our old friend Mr Doyle having scored in both

 

I'm surprised that people are taken back ar how this works. The majority of EFL clubs work like this and even top level. Think of Jorge Mendes and Wolves and Arsenal have just released scouts because Edu wants to go down the agent route.


As long as agents are in the game it will carry on like this too.

 

Actually have a rumour, 1 player were looking at getting in on loan is mitch clark from Leicester 21 yr old right back can play left back too. Was on loan at port vale last season and there keen to get him back but could be competing with league one clubs for him too

There is no right or wrong way to play football. The 'correct way' to play football is the one that wins games. Ultimately if you play easy on the eye football but lose more games than you wing then you are failing.

 

Wonder if Wood can put a good word in with the Leicester lad. So far it looks like Wood has benefited from being here despite a dodgy start
